Hi Guys! Just want to say thanks for all the support you´re providing not only here on BC, but just as much in stadiums around the world. I´ve met a lot of you in various tournaments. Always a pleasure Recently I played in the Thomas Cup and as you might know we lost in quarterfinals to Malaysia. The worst draw we could have, but still a great experience playing infront of the homecrowd in Putra Jaya Stadium..... Even though we lost the teammatch I´m truly proud to say that Lars & I kept our undefeated record in Thomas Cup from 2002-2010...... See you at the tournaments!!! JR
JR, ..i saw your QF Rd. match on a restaurant's LCD tv in one of the malls...i knew you guys were to going to win, despite the heavy barrage of artilleries delivered by the MAS pair, esp. from Hoon Thien How, in the 1st game..you guys looked so relaxed and in control in the 2nd game, definitely adjusted to the smashes by the MAS pair, whilst reading and already anticipating the MAS pair's shots...love all the cross-court returns you guys delivered..btw, was that your guys' first ever meeting vs. the MAS pair??.. too bad JP lost, but i somewhat expected it...btw, could Kenneth Jonassen actually play as MS3 in place of JP?.. anyway, good luck in the upcoming SS tourneys and in the WC!..
It was our first meeting against them as a pair. We´ve played against them seperately with out partners. KJ could have played the 3rd singles if the coaches had chosen to do that. Hoon did play very well and I think the malaysian team could get good use from him with a good partner Kind Regards JR
congrates ya hope to see u have some good result in world championship again as lee yong dae is absence kido/hendrawan also considering to give wc a off hehe^^
Great to know that you guys have kept the unbeaten record intact. Hope to see you again the the other tournaments. Maybe in Indonesia open. Btw were you guys felt uncomfortable playing the new pairing of Hoon/zakry during the Thomas cup? they almost got u guys if not because of Hoon error. But I must say you guys kept the nerves and played well. You deserve the win.
Hi Ants! Yeah, I must say I felt the pressure there due to more than one thing First, we knew we had to win. Secondly, we were the big favorites and they could play more freely as the 2nd mensdoubles no one from Malaysia expected a scratch pair to win. On top of that I knew that if we lost our unbeaten record would be broken. And last, we had the whole stadium against us(except you guys).... So I´m glad we pulled through in the end....... As for 2012, it´s a bit early for me to say that we´ll play there as well, but I sure hope to be there..... Kind Regards JR
Hi JR! It is truly an honour for an aspiring youngster like me to see you on this forum often and hear abt your unbeaten record in TC.. Truly inspirational! All the best! Keep us all posted!!
Hi Stanster213! Well, I must say that I could do a bit better visiting more often as I used to do in the beginning.......I try to do my best to post in here, but thanks You may also check my fansite on facebook....... Kind Regards JR
Hi JR, I certainly have checked on facebook.. it's nice! I'll probably subscribe to it... I remember a few years back when you were using Wilson Ktour I remarked: "Hmm, JR is using Ktour too??? (as I was back then)" Haha... but definitely, now it's more the player, not the racket. "A bad workmen always blames his tools"... Kind regards...! Looking fwd to see you in action soon... most likely WC?
Hi Stanster! Yes, we will play in the WC.....First, though, we will play in Singapore Super Series in June....... I´ve been very happy with the KTour rackets.....What do you think of them?? JR
Hi JR! Looking forward to see you and LP in action in SO... The KTOUR.. hmm... they were great! Moved through the air like a rocket Feel was quite good, too... nice strong durable build quality.. Haven't used them for about two years, though... Best wishes for the upcoming SO and WC! I'm sure we're all looking forward... -s123
