This was my all time favorite racket, but its old now. I want the same style racket But maintain the same characteristics i.e:- stiffness, balance, power, Speed and feel same as the Z Speed I'm just looking for an upgrade to this racket or maybe Ill just buy another one of these? Currently I have AX88D 3U, AX100zz 4U. I play doubles mostly but none of these matter I just want an upgrade to the Z-Speed. Thanks a lot
Thanks a lot for all the info, The main reason I was asking was because I thought in the many years I was away from badminton some new technology would have come to these rackets and improved them. So I was hoping for an improved Nanoray Z Speed I've never used anything other than Yonex, but im tempted now to try the victor Jetspeed S10
Any comparison between JS12 and JS10 which one should I get considering my old favorite was Z-speed? Thanks.
Ah, while i aprciate your input. Need some more convincing since I haven't even heard of that racket before.
I have only played with the NRZS once a long time ago, but it shouldn't be far off overall. Here's my thread on that racket and here's a review comparing it to the JS10 in some ways, as part of the thread. There's a bit more info in the 2018 Adidas Rackets thread, but this should be a good place to start. What's funny? If the slight head heaviness is too much, there's still the 4U versions and replacing the grommet strips with normal grommets. It's a stiff racket with a fast swing due to the compact had (and the frame shape?). There's not too many options to go to, but the P8 is a really, really good one.
to suggest as js10 or nanoray replacement the racket with 90kg of swing weight it is just ridicilous Lol
Not reading the linked things and not even the post you quote is just stupid. 1. there's a 4U version 2. you can replace the grommet strips with regular grommets, losing around 1 g of head weight 3. this thread is about a Nanoray Z-Speed replacement, that's a racket on the upper end of 3U and not head light, so suggesting a slightly head heavy racket that's significantly lighter (the 3U is on the lighter end of 3U already) is not ridiculus (yeah, that's how you spell it, you can and an "o" though) at all If that wasn't enough.... I stand with my suggestion of trying the P8. However, I always say that it's better to try before you buy, although I know that that's difficult.
Thanks guys for your inputs, I'll try the nanoflare 800 and the js10 probably end of next month. I just bought a zfii yesterday just because I want to keep a spare racket and the zfii is cheap now. I will surely post back here with my updates of racket feeling, hoping it would help some one else later... If anyone has more suggestions advice please let me know. Thanks again
The ZF2 is a great replacement for the Nanoray Z Speed too, just a bit more headheavy, bit more powerful, bit less user friendly, and bit less fast^^ (a bit in this conext may mean a ton)
tbh, I think you're approaching this the wrong way. The Z-Speed has been a very special racket that imo never got an "improved replacement". Looking at the specs and "DNA": - compact head - super small sweet spot - stiff shaft - rather head heavy (despite being a Nanoray) - infamously dampened feel (some might call it numb ) And being dead honest, I think if you were liking your NRZS so much, then I suggest you stick to it. Cause hands down, there is no other racket on the market that has the same overall feel. Also, the racket technologies haven't improved that much since the release of the NRZS, no matter what the clever guys and girls at the manufacturers' marketing departments might be trying to convince us. The JS10 is one of my all time favorite racket, but it will feel completely different since it is a lot less damped and transfers a lot more vibrations. Also, it has noticeably less weight in the head. Great racket? Yes. An upgraded NRZS? I don't think so. Same goes for the Adidas P8. Amazing racket and ticks a lot of the boxes as well (compact head, stiff shaft also the balance is not too far off imo), but the feel will completely different as well.
yea nanoflare 700 pro in 3u or heavier would be very awesome, still can not believe that all these double/mix players are using 4u.
