I see the blue accents as more of a cyan color tbh. Far cry from sky blue BG80. The yellow contrast being bad I can understand everyone's misgivings. But I really think the sky blue of BG80 is not almost the same at all
Hi All, I am new to victor product line. how is BS12 compare to jetspeed 10? I am currently using yonex i-force, but i can feel my arm very painful after 2-3 hours of game. which (BS12 or jetspeed 10) more suitable as my yonex i-force replacement? , since its head light and even-balance racket?
It would be easier to help if you told us more about your racket history. Because if you have arm pains from a 5U racket. Chances are it's more a problem with your technique or health instead of racket choice.
Which would round back to technique problem. Trying to use the racket wrongly. and also why I asked about further racket history.
I was with ProAce (4u) racket for long time, and I do not have any issue with it. but after i switched to yonex i-force, I having arm pain issue. not sure if that due to head heavy racket.
You may have no problems with a 4U but the difference between a 4 and 5U can be up to nearly 10g. That's a huge difference when it comes into play with adapting your technique to play properly with the racket so as to prevent injury and get the most out of it. But of course for arguments sake we'll just assume it's a 5g different since it's 1 weight class apart. Either way generally speaking, moving to a head heavier racket from say an even balanced on head light racket usually the pains come from the wrist area instead of the arm because one isn't used to the pull and lag from the recovery of a stroke with a heavier head. So I'm going to assume that this is probably a technique problem because you're not hitting the right way for this racket and it's come back to bite you. Yeap it is.
yes, i-force is 5U, its lighter, and shouldn't cause my arm pain. anyone have experience on jetspeed 10 or BS12 good to go?
Hahahahaha beats me man. But I'm happy since they have red and yellow as they're my favourite colour for grips. I'm planning to try GR331 and GR333 next. They're supposed to be thin as well and GR331 although old can still be found but it is a whole reel. The notion that a lighter racket should not cause one pain is not very bright man. No offence intended but if the way racket shaft flexes and recovers in tandem with the way the head weight pulls does not match your normal technique closely enough for you to adapt or you are not experienced enough with a wide range range of rackets specs. No weight heavier or lighter is going to change the fact that you will get injured from playing with it. As for experience with the JS10 and 12. I'm probably the only one for now with extensive enough experience using 12 and then on to the 10 now. Simply put. If you have trouble with the iforce. You can avoid the JS10 totally. It's even stiffer and feels just as head heavy and will most likely worsen your problems. As for the BS12 I rather not say anything yet since tbh the only thing we know about your previous racket is what weight range it is in. Hard to give any form of comparisons when you don't know what other specs to side by side it with to give a general idea.
I'm still interested in the comparison between BS12 and JS10, can you enlighten us with your vast experience
To break it down simply. Power: BS12 < JS10 Drives: JS10 < BS12 Defence: BS12 < JS10 This is where the 4U weight and smaller head just puts it above the 12 on defence. Drops: JS10 < BS12 The superior feel of the 12 just gives me better control i nthis case. Feel: JS10 < BS12 It might come closer if the JS10 was in 3U
Tried the modded JS10's against the stock ones, and while the power did improve very slightly (could be placebo effect) with no cost to defence, there was a definite improvement in the sense of where the head is, which was the only thing I would have changed about this racket. Wet balance has gone from mid 290's to 310, for the record.
