Thanks PeterLSD for getting this practice group together. I was at work when he called. However, I was glad to come out and work out some kinks in my form. For other non-VRC BF'ers, please pm me or any other known VRC BF'ers if you're interested in joining the fun. I believe we have another sizable gathering coming up this Sat. night. Rules are pretty simple: drop-in is $10 ($7 with guest pass) but you must be signed in by a member as a guest. Non-marking shoes only and you must contribute your share of decent feather shuttles with the right speed (bare minimum quality = Pro Flex shuttles?) to your games (each player throw in one shuttle per game). You can choose to finish the remaining shuttles from your last game or toss to see who gets the rest of it if you split your group. Unfortunately for the Sat. gathering, Dave woodchuck and TTT will likely not be able to join us cuz they're heading down south to spend their hard-earned CANADIAN DOLLARS in the states. On Canada Day no less. Anyway, I am sure this Saturday night will be lively.
Lemme wangle Mrs wood_22_chuck into making it a day-trip, and see what happens! Had fun last night. -dave
Fun Night It was a fun night with TTT, Cappy75, SchrodringerCat, Wood_22_Chuck. We went for early breakfast at the local Denny's at 1:45 AM afterward.
Definitely hope we could do that more often. Thursdays are usually quiet after the mixed so it's great for drills and practice. Too bad I will be joining 604Badder in C1's advance class friday evenings starting next week. Won't be able to make it to thursday practice if there's another one cuz back-to-back baddy is too much for me. Will try to learn as much as I can from that class and bring what I learn to our practice when I am done.
Ah nuts, I'm spending all day building houses at Habitat for Humanity, so I'm going to be too tired for baddy..... I was hoping for Friday . Oh well, maybe next time.
Need guess pass for VRC this coming Saturday Hi, I am from Everett, Wa. I am planning a trip to BC this coming Saturday and I would like to drop in at VRC to play badminton. Anybody know how can I get guess pass? Thank you, Greg
Hey Greg, The guest pass is not a requisite for playing in VRC. It only saves you $3. What is required is that you have to be a guest of a member. In fact, I think guest passes are not for sale to non-members.
You're always welcome, SmashingBird! wwcbro always asks about you when he comes out. Looking forward to a few games -dave
