Alrite, he threw his racquet on the floor n kicked it away.. Then he did not want to wear his medal n refused to accept our cultural warrior headgear.. Lastly He refused to take pics with the media and walked away with frustration

In a way your obeservation is correct that Lin Dan starts slowly. And he comes home strongly. But I noticed these days, he gets tired out and starts making errors more than he did in the past. LCW capitalised on that, bringing home the last 8 points (after being at 13-20) against Lin Dan.EastDevil said:I am not expecting perfection, I just find that the way LCW tend to fumble for 2 sets after a great start needs to be worked on badly because miracles do not happen that often. Lin Dan always seems to be a slow starter, the kind of player that has to be killed off quickly and not let him drag.
lol, I had the same experience too.... I wrote a long thread and when I was expecting a nice reply, my whole page long was deleted as well...X Ball said:In a way your obeservation is correct that Lin Dan starts slowly. If I were LCW, I would play the same against Lin Dan in the Chinese Taipei Open. Beat Lin Dan in the 1st game (i.e. capitalised on Lin Dan's slow start); then relax and rally against Lin Dan, and finally 'kill' Lin Dan as he did in the MO in the 3rd set.
This is not the 1st time I have seen Lin Dan fading in the final set (he makes errors when he is tired). In the All-England, LCW also nearly beat him in the 3rd set but I think then Lin Dan lasted longer than LCW.
With Li Mao now pushing LCW to his limits, Lin Dan would have to be superbly fit to go the distance with LCW. And I think as age catches up with Lin Dan, you will find anyone like PG or LCW in their fittest would be able to win against him. LCW is now at his most dangerous - I stress most dangerous. He has learned the tricks to win and commands the fitness that every person dreams of. Every time he plays, it is a question then of how much he wants it (e.g. like the MO where he wanted it and delivered the goods).
This point by point play that he mentioned will be used again in the future with his success. As I said, I think the 'head shrinker' has taught him how to focus using this point by point play to achieve his goal, i.e. concentrate and treat each point like it is the last. Try it, it might help you too.
