Hi.
im using a stroke 319 by Proace i recently switch from BG66 unltimax but it got cut off yesterday so i was thinking of BG65 TI since many loves it and i was wondering how much should i tension it my maximum tension is 24lbs i usually do smashes alot and i want maximum power so i came here to ask how much should i tension it.
Thx :3

I had mine strung at 34 lbs, loved it, but I don't suggest going above your racquet's maximum tension. Maximum power might be around 30-31 lbs I suspect.

Do you know what tention you had the BG 66 Ultimax done at? Tighter isn't always better, in fact, it can go against you.

i play badminton very frequently like 40minutes a day exept for saturday and sunday, i strung it at 21lb becuz i want to keep it durable even though its not meant to be but it last 2 weaks

To durabilty: It depends on many factors. Higher tension don't always mean to break fast and lower tension also don't always mean to last long. Sometimes it could be the other way.

To ideal tension: This is no absolut number which is ideal. Ideal means for everybody something different. Everybody has a different comfort zone, where the string performs good and if it's too high or too low the performance is limited. So we can't anwer your question.

To string choice: Don't go by many or others. I know people who love strings which I dislike and they dislike strings which I prefer. That's life.

Tbh You are asking something: Like how much salt should I add to my soup to taste it the best. We don't know and nobody can answer. Same like above mentioned.

I think you need to know that performance and durabilty are two extremes, which don't work well together.

I suggest to try strings and tension, to find the combinations which fits you the best. Same like buying a pair of pants, when you don't know your size. You need to try and skip or keep which fits you.

To make it short: I suggest to try a thicker string and same tension, maybe 1lbs higher. Not more. Regardless if BG65TI or NBG99 or BG80 Power.

Seconded, I concur; that is some sound advice by @ucantseeme
I found my optimal settings by extreme trial and error (testing opposite end-ranges).

Do also note that your optimal preferences are often a moving target, when I first started out, I found my old optimum at ~28lbs with harder thicker strings but a year and a half later, I'm finding 32lbs with medium hard strings to be my current optimum.
