I usually wax at least the front. gelling the whole head gets kinda gross after a few intensive games. wax doesn't really become that gross after sweating cince you don't need as much. i've got pretty average hair length as far as asian males go. a bit shorter than lin dan's.

mmm. Quite a good response!! Keep 'em comin!!

For me, I use hair gel and spike it up, but it dissolves quite fast but the hair still stands but not as much as before the matches. So maybe I'll switch to hair wax or something.

Thanks for replying and keep 'em coming :)

My hair automatically splits down the middle (yo know, the middle line hair-cut), no matter how long/short my hair is when it gets a little wet.

i have medium length hair now therefore manageable and so far so good. I did have no hair (bald) and too long hair before, both found to be the best weapon to put off my opponents (they couldn't stop laughing):p

Right before major tournaments, i got my hair thinned out and trimmed. My hair is insanely thick, and it gets so heavy that it makes me move slower.......seriously. Other than that, i usualyl jsut leave it the way it is.

Yes, it's actually call "mud" just like gel.

Pending on the manufacturer, it kind of looks like brown body wax (for hair removal).

You put a dab on the palm of your hand, bring both palms together, rub gently in a circlular motion, then pull straight apart which create small fine threads of hair adhesive. Run your fingers through your hair, styling as you go.

Apparently, it gives a soft & strong hold and not stiff like hair gel. If you want a stiffer hold, then use hair spray after the mud.

But hey! I gave up doing the "Badminton Hair Fashion Show" and just wear a baseball cap backwards! Currently in my Buddhist Monk fashion phase! :D :D

    Cheers!

In Europe they call the stuff "Solid Fibre Wax / Matt Gum"
I think that BMS must have had an ulterior motive for playing badminton (to attract the ladies).

But he's finally realised that it is skill that really impresses (not hair styles). :D

Wow, that must be a huge savings on shampoo! :D:D

I usually just tie my hair back in pony tails. But since I have like side bangs, whenever I hit a shot, my hair still gets in the way...

my hair's long so i have to keep it tied up if i don't want hair all over my face. normally tie it into a bun because i find hair swishing at the back of me and sweeping over a sweaty neck really annoying and yucky.

Our head coach does not allow any of our players to have our hair dyed but no rules about the length. Somehow we all seems to have short straight hair with similar style. funny.....

I have short hair but wear a bandana/headband when i play because i hate it when sweat gets in my eye...it stings because of the salt!!

I have 4 head bands (2 pointfore, 1 lululemon, 1 nike dri-fit) and 4 bandanas (black knight, adidas, no name brand, ying yang patterned no name brand)

I recommend the lululemon and nike dri-fit headbands.. fairly thin yet soaks up a lot of sweat.
