sorry i meant Tang Xue Hua, who is from JiangSu. Chen Jin and WSX are also from JiangSu.

after London Olympics, i think he semi retired (except during Zhang Ning's maternity leave).

He trained Zhao JH, Yang Yang, Ge Fei/Gu Jun and of course XXF and Zhang Ning.

All England 2016 is the first time that i can remember Tang Xue Hua is sitting next to Chen Jin in the coaches chairs.

CJ needs another pair of eyes and Okuhara is now a threat besides CM.

My prediction: LXR will win this China Masters this year. She will be either ranked No. 1 or No. 2 on 21 July 2016.

Which ever one of the two Wangs can attain either world ranking No. 1 or No. 2 (together with LXR) on 21 July will go to Rio with LXR.

The three contenders LXR, WYH and WSX will be assisted by Sun Yu and HBJ from now till 21 July.

I think that's Chen Jin's plan. With the help of Tang Xue Hua (who just came out of semi-retirement) and Zhang Ning, I believe the above is achievable.

But let's see if the new upgraded Code of Conduct from BWF will have any effect on Chen Jin's plan. "Not using one's own best efforts to win a match" is now a very serious offence. We will see.

For CM or NO to attain No. 1 and No. 2, the two need to fight on their own against a group of five players from CHN. Those five work as a team. They are determined to place LXR and WSX/WYH at No. 1 and No. 2 by 21 July since that would guaranteed they will be placed at different halves.

For CM or NO, I don't think the two are that determined to attain No.1 and/or No. 2.

How can we underestimate Wang Shixian who recently proved she is as good as , if not better than, Nozomi Okuhara, and she has beaten Carolina Marin twice in their previous two meetings ?

Also remember how Li Xuerui bested Nozomi just last month at the German Open. IMHO, LXR on her day is still simply the best WS in the world.

Much as I 'd love to see He Bingjiao do a fairy tale run to the Rio Olympics a la Li Xuerui in 2012,I don't think CBA/Li Yongbo would want to go that far unless special circumstances warrant it. Still quite a stretch for it to happen, particularly when HBJ only just turned 19 years old.

I notice kwun has been trying to alter public opinion by using the forum background as a form of subliminal messaging.

I wonder what Wang YiHan did to anger him...
It's suspect how she has no votes, too...

So far, only 16 persons voted, so not surprising if one or two of the five get zero vote.

But I see that each of the three, namely, WYH, Sy and HBJ, get a vote each. Sympathy vote? I hope not, let's be more objective and impartial.

Sun Yu defeated Nozomi convincingly today in Singapore.

She may still have a shot at Rio.

LXR should be in. An attacking and a rally player, I would pick WYH than WSX but that is a tough call. It comes down to which player LYB think would play better at OLY. If judging from current performance to pick players for RIO, WYH may be out and so does LD too. But when RIO comes calling, as so many times seen in the past, CHN players step up and a force to deal with. WS in RIO looks like wide open, no clear favorite. If there is a poll to predict who will win, I pick LXR.

WSX herself after her loss to Saina at BAC thought her chances of going to Rio is bleak now. At the post-match QF interview, she sighed,' The last few tournaments I didn't play well. As far as I'm, concerned, the Race to Rio is over. Today I lost, the opportunity is handed over to someone else.'

During the WSX - Saina match, Chen Long who was playing Tommy Sugiarto at the adjacent court was so anxious about her match that he became distracted and couldn't concentrate on his own match at first and made several unforced errors. After his match was over, he joked tenderly to the reporter that at that time he thought of saying how he wished he could take over from WSX, never mind if her score is 19-20.
