Just wondering if someone could turn this into a poll. Will this tournament boost north american recognition and appreciation of badminton? Will it decrease it or will it leave it unchanged?

    if its on tv...(nonsatellite)
if not, ones gonna hear of it..
Im the only one in my school (that i know of) thats ever heard of this championship... To many, badminton is simple:main objective, hit it over the net...
unless that view is changed.. it'll stay the same...

I think this will definately not decrease the interest, but it may or may not increas the interest as well. I think USA badminton should go on a tour or something to premote this...of course, not like THAT will happen.

ESPN (major sports television network in North America) is going to be showing this everyday of the tournament during prime time. Also, they have promised to show the all of the Final matches uninterrupted (minus commercials) straight, for one whole day. This could be some great exposure for the sport, although I will probably get fired for missing a whole week of work :p

grade 10 going to 11. But generally, throughout the school, badminton is not a well-liked sport. Even though I happen to be living in Markham :p
