CH play extremely well today and it is a pity that he can't hold his nerve at the end of 2nd set. This lead to his failure in the 3rd set but this match is just fantastic and the crowd really love it. CH is so cute that he play the crowd really well at the end of 3rd set.

Anyway, sad that CH lost it.

i would argue that Ge Fei / Gu Jun are the best that CHN has ever produce.

in a span of 4 years, they have not lost one match. they won all WC and Olympics and everything that came their way. not even Gao/Huang can match that.

You are right Kwun. Gao/Huang is far behind Ge Fei/Gu Jun. Gao/Huang is not even as good as the current active Zhang Jiewen/Yang Wei. But this time, both Zhang Jiewen and Yang Wei got injured. Zhang Jiewen/Yang Wei have won both Olympics and WC, and also many others. I don't think Gao/Huang ever won Olympics. Also Zhang/Yang dominted most when head to head.

As who are the best ever, Ge Fei/Gu Jun holds the best records for sure, kind of unbeatable. But unfortunately, both Ge Fei and Gu Jun did not have any good singles records. So I would suggest Lee Lingwei/Han Aiping as the best ever. That time, there had already been an invincible womens double, that's Lin Ying/Wu Dixi. Then Lee Lingwei/Han Aiping played double just for fun, for extra energy left in singles, or for the Uber cup. Anyway, when Lee/Han began to play, Lin/Wu became the 2nd best. Han Aiping/Lee lingwei got the WC gold medal for both singles and doubles in 1985 at Calgary, Canada. If Lee/Han had concentrated on doubles, they would have won against Park Joo Bong/Kim Moon Soo and Li Yongbo/Tian Bingyi

Yes, they are again not happy to both of them. ZYW claiming WYL got too much errors and later she did some herself. I don´t know why some chinese players can´t encourage their partner when they are trailing.

I do agree with you, but with 6 All England titles in consecutive time, I think no other WD pairs can do it even Ge Fei/Gu Jun can not do it.
Also they help China Uber Cup team, while Ge Fei/Gu Jun can not help China Uber Team in 2 consecutive lost (eventhough they won in the games)
