woh, woh, woh..ALL the top players will finally in action tommorrow. i'm sure tomorrow will be a cracking badminton day...some interesting match to catch up for sure..I would love to see the match between lin dan and tanongsak of thailand.. thailand's lin dan:D:cool:..but unfortunately the match will not be broadcasted live because its not on the tv court. Watch out for local favourite saina nehwal too, as she will the centre of attraction in the eyes of the local crowd here.. hmm, btw, i noticed quite a number of japanese players' matches will be broadcasted live because its on the tv court.. Maybe some japanese tv station have live coverage of tomorrow round of 32 action too?;)

The lucky ones would be boe/morgensen of denmark of course..As they get free tickets to round of 16 after their opponent from austria withdrew..

Things will get a bit more interesting from now on..

..with the field of players getting smaller, competition getting tighter & nerves being tested even more but hopefully all those rumors will subside..

    I'd like to see..

..the reaction from them if the same type of rumors of terror threats were to circulate in next yr's Asian Games in Guangzhou..I'd like to see if they will still participate or go home??..

lol that would be an interesting situation.
i think that china would take the same precautions as they did during the olympics. as you might recall, during the weeks prior to the beijing olympics there were numerous terrorist threats from various minorities in china, but nothing really came of it and for the most part, the olympics ran pretty smoothly

    ^^Do you know..^^

..i had the same thoughts back in my head prior to my trip to Beijing (for the OG), last yr??..
    I kept thinking:
What if i arrive in Beijing and for some unfortunate reason i get blown up in the baddy hall watching the baddy matches? or during my visit to Beijing's Great Wall? or even before i landed my feet on China's soil? or in one of the Chinese markets squeezed in with the many hundreds or thousands of tourists?..

But then, i thought, what da heck. If i get blown up in Beijing, at least i'll die in the land where my ancestors came from..;)

but i guess you run that risk going to any country with a little bit of history when they are hosting such a big event. i'm sure at the olympics in both 2010 and especially 2012 the security will be crazy tough.

^^Off topic-It's not only the country with a little bit of history..^^

..but also how big of an event it is..The bigger it is & the more people there are mean it will definitely invite more easy targets for those distractors/terrorists/trouble-makers..Even during the Atlanta Olympics in the U.S. in 1996, who knew someone (not a foreign terrorist, mind you) would plant a home-made bomb in the middle of a peaceful gathering??..Thank goodness the person forewarned the security personnel of the impending explosion..

But, yeah, there are risks in this type of events. If the organizer and the security personnel have guaranteed and promised that they've done their best, then we just have to trust them....and go with faith..

    my 1st time doing this...hehe...

Well, I have so many matches to cheer on then.:D:D. Until now, no INA's players got defeat. It's pretty cool. But... I'm kinda worried for tomorrow.

    Bona/Ahsan vs Guo Zendong/Chen Xu.
BoSan pair seeded 7 but it's not guaranteed they will get through easily tomorrow. Hope they proved that they are deserved seeding higher. ;)

    Shendy/Meiliana vs MAS WD
I think Shendy/Mel will prevail here. But, this is WC, everything can happen. :D

    Taufik Hidayat vs Mathieu
Another warm-up match for Mr.Taufik. I didn't see he will follow BCL's path then. SEMANGAT.:)

    Maria Kristin vs Lianne Tan
If she played like her 1st match, she should win this.:)

    Sony DK vs Wacha
I don't really know about Wacha.. But I think Sony isn't hurried to meet Mrs.Kuncoro. Stay longer sir...;)

    Firdasari vs Lu Lan
Tough call. Lu Lan isn't easy meat like Nathalie Deschamps. I hope Firda can spring upset here. PRAY HARD.:D

    Greysia/Nitya vs JPN WD
    Greysia/Nitya to win.

    Simon Santoso vs Derek Wong
Please, don't do like your previous 1st set Simon. I know you still win but... heart beating faster isn't good for you supporters. ;).

    Rian/Yoke vs UKR MD
    Rian/Yoke should win this.

Wow lots of big gun will finally come in action today
Lets see how many of them will crumbled along the way
Hehehe i love me some UPSETS
From here onwards, real test begin for every contenders
Best of luck for INA players
Though i hope there's still no casualties in day 3,
but that seems unlikely to happened
Heres hoping that Firda may spring some surprise
Oh and theres also tricky match between BoSan vs GZ/CX

Today will be the day INA players will start falling. Starting from:
Adriyanti Firdasari vs Lu Lan [7] -- by bye Firda...nice try this year.

    Pair in danger of losing:
Guo Zhendong/Xu Chen vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [7] -- Bona/Ahsan are seeded highly this year, but, they better win this one to justify their seeding. I fancy the CHN pair to go through as there were reports that Guo/Xu even beat Fu/Cai during the WC trial matches.

As for the other INA players, I believe they should go through:
MS -- Taufik Hidayat [4], Sony Dwi Kuncoro [6], Simon Santoso [13]
WS -- Maria Kristin Yulianti [15]
    MD -- Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki [11]
    WD -- Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii [13], Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [10]

    LIN DAN's chances against LCW.

Dan Lin [5][IMG][CHN] -[IMG][THA] Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk

It will be interesting to watch how LIN DAN cope with TANONGSAK
    jumping smash.

If LD can win easily , then LCW chances to the crown will be more difficult.

Hope to receive progressive match score during the match.

I m looking fwd for an upset in this match or at least a three setter.
