I've been here for years. I have yet to see said good contributions mate. Experience has taught me that he is best ignored because he just keeps going back to the same old **** again. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
It is as stiff imo. All four examples I’ve owned (DZS & ZF2). Just that the headweight is so absurdly high that it makes the shaft flex loads in comparison.
Yeah that was the logic behind me thinking that the 88D would flex as well. But it seems that the 88D is in a way more face heavy and head heavy as there is slightly more weight at the T-joint
Yeah pretty much. The stiffness of the shaft is one thing, but coupled with the weight distribution changes it quite a lot.
I was talking about in general. Two racquets that are equally stiff will feel completely different depending upon the weight distribution throughout the racquet. For zf2 it plays less stiff than it actually is because of the concentrated head heaviness. The 88D isn't as concentrated so feels a bit stiffer, even though it probably is at best equally stiff.
I've used two rackets by now. 3U and 6U. I used two 3Us as I mentioned earlier. Never got any problem. I'm a skinny guy with no muscles at all and suffering from chronic tennis elbow from tennis. Never got annnny sort of problem with 3U especially my D10. VZF2 was just tiring after sometime but nothing more. I used the 6U a few times, got used to it. When I came back to the 3U VZF2, it was a disaster! I felt like my wrist would snap if I went full power and I felt pain in my shoulders. Was not the same extent with my D10. All to say is that your body will adapt. Not sure how you got injured but I don't think it is the rackets fault. @bmtboy yes, check the below link http://thenextbest.net/yonex-astrox-88s-and-d-review-buyers-guide/
And you need to change your game play as well, especially when you get older Sent from my SM-J320F using Tapatalk
Unbelievable... I think this was the first time in history that anyone had an answer to that request. @Ferrerkiko - you're welcome!
Some measurements with a rough scale and some PVC supports to hold the racket at the tip of the head and at the end of the handle, while keeping it level (as much as possible), note that the scale is has a 0.5g accuracy: Head weight: 88S 4U @85g: 37.0g 88D 4U @85g: 37.0g 88D 4U @86g: 37.5g LD Force 4U @86g (Gold version): 38.5g Unbelievable that the headweight of the 88S 4U is the same as the 88D 4U.
Can anyone shared comparation between AX88D 3U and Votric 70etune 3U? Are AX88D 3u heavier than Voltric 70E 3U?
