So my Yonex 65z2's are in need of a replacement already because their gum soles are already oxidized. Which between the 3 new models is best and why?

    65Z3
    Eclipsion Z3
    Comfort Z3

Do you find something lack on ur old shoes?
    If not, 65Z3 it is.
But if you want more cushioning, comfort are what u are looking for, but remember it would feel somewhat heavier.

Nothing lacking really but if I could find better performance on the Eclipsion or the Comfort, why not, right? So both of them are heavier than the 65z3? How are the Eclipsions?

Or are the Aerus Z's even better?

What kind of improvement do you hope for?

If its better footworks or quicker movement, it wont be. Self technique are what makes us better.
If you ask for more stability & cushioning, then Comfort is what you want. But you trade off speed for its comfort. But you need to feel it urself coz for some the tradeoff are just so insignificant but for some its a big matter.

Aerus are speed type, so expect it lighter & less cushioning.

-Aerus is a minimalistic lightweight shoe. If you prioritize speed, but not much cushion or stability. Good for narrow feet.
-Eclipsion is on the other end of the spectrum, more stable but heavier.
-Comfort Z has a wider fit and a bit more cushion than 65.
-65 is a good combination of speed and stability, and still enough cushion, it's the best, I think.

Not really improvement on footwork. I know that's up to the player and not the shoes he's wearing. I was probably just generalizing when I said "improvement".

Ok, so yeah, I guess 65Z3 is the well-balanced pair of shoes out of all the models mentioned here. How do I know if I need the wide version or not? Should I measure the widest part of my feet to verify? I know I tried using a wide version of a Mizuno pair of shoes before but that was like 10 years ago so I forgot how they felt.

If most shoes fit you, true to size, then you probably don’t need a wide version.
But if you sometimes have to size up because the shoe feel too small even if it’s the correct length, you might need a wide version.

Yeah, I never had to get a wide version of any shoe just to fit my feet. But just to be sure, would measuring do any good? I mean, my feet "might" feel better with the wide version.
