Yonex FRENCH Open 2014 - Entry List & DRAW

Morten Frost revealed a new development in the Denmark team. Starting with the French Open, Christinna Pedersen will no longer play XD with Joachim Fischer. She will solely concentrate on her WD with Kamilla Rytter Juhl. Joachim Fischer will pair up with Marie Roepke (who currently plays WD with Line Damkjaer Kruse) in future tournaments.
Either MO is misinformed or you have minunderstood. Fact is Fischer/Røpke is only a pair for this tournament. Røpke will be retired internationally after French Open. Fischer/Pedersen will still be playing together as a pair, next time will be at China Open. They have officially stated they are focused/hoping on/to qualify for Super series finals. What happens after this year, none of them know yet. They might continue to play together, but at fewer events or they may stop playing together.

If this is confirmed, I think it is very nice. Pedersen looks exhausted at times. To concentrate on WD will enhance her performance.
Fischer is quite old. He might retire soon, so it is better he help grooming young players.
Beside, I never quite liked Pedersen's attitude when playing with Fischer. She is good, but sometimes gives me the feeling of being out of place.
Not confirmed. Røpke is the one who is retiring even though she is only 27, but hardly a young talent.
Pedersen and Juhl are miles ahead of all other Danish girls, so out of place or not, it will be almost impossible for Fischer to find a replacement.

MS - Qualification: Xue Song (CHN) bt (SIN) Derek Wong Zi Liang 21-11, 21-18 in 0:30 COUBERTIN - TV1

XD - Qualification: interesting, Vladimir Ivanov [4] (RUS) pairs with Ashwini Ponnappa (IND) and got a free pass, their opponent from NED gave a WO

AP/VI played fantastically today but will be up against Japanese talented pair of sonoda/matsuo in R1 I hope they survive the scare...

Hey what happened to Xu Chen/Ma jin match against the danes.
Tournament Software hasn't updated that particular result.
