could you possibly post pictures from the yonex brochure, including rackets, shoes, bags and clothes please
Hi, I was at the AE friday and saturday and bought a NS9000X. Was at the english coaches conference saturday and had chance to hit about a dozen birds. First impressions.................. WOW. Needed an over grip as G3 is bit small for my liking but apart from that it feels great. I like the head heavy. Kept going back from my NS7000 to my 800OF. Have a match tomrrow night so this will be first proper outing.
my coaches were at that conference . so is the racket head heavy? someone in another thread who got one said that it was head light
its more balanced than NS7k, but there is more weight in the head. Who were your coaches? they may have been in my group. What club you play at?
I have a curious question... the nano (based on yonex) is deigned for singles right? While the armortec 800 is for doubles? How much is the NX9000 and how much is the armortec 800?
I wonder if anyone had tried out the Type S model yet. The 9K is supposedly to replace the AT-800 from what I heard.
Thanks Ant. I guess from your testing, would the Type S suit a double's player? Also if you know what the balance point is between the two (S and X) rackets, that would be great as well. Thanks in advance.
so how is yonex positioning the nano 9000. the at800 is very clearly positioned - a racket for doubles play. one for offensive and one for defensive.
the at800de is just as good for attack as most yonex rackets so i don't see how the positioning is correct
Absolutely. Yonex don't even have a current position for the Ti-10. Yet, I can attack, defend, wave it about, and dance around with it in doubles or singles.
let's hope that the ns9000 will be sooo good that it will take over the ti10's position as everyone's favourite racket
well from a business point of view Yonex will have to keep the market fresh and that is by promoting new design new racket. With as many yonex racket that is out on the product lineup rite now.. It's only a matter of time (if not already) that yonex is running out of gimmics to avoid conflicts of interest among one racket with another. I won't be suppirsed if any new racket would actually perform very differntly then what Yonex would like you to believe. Guess we'r back to square one that you can only try a racket to see if it fits your play style or not. Like remeber when n8k came out it was promoted as giving 5% more repulsion power, but seriously it's 5% that I wouldn't be able to feel the difference nor i would be able to tell if the 5% actually uped my performance of any sort. Next thing you know the coming generation we'll expect to see 10% 15% 20% 50% 100% more up to a point that yonex is just diging their own grave. Even so, hey, i STILL got hooked onto the yonex's fancy words and chiped in for the n8k as well (which i noticed i always end up admiring the N8k paint job but using at800de in games) Up untill now seeing N9k is dead sexy... can not resist....musttt...geett..
this leads us back to the old story that a racket will not improve your game, which is true. a racket will just make it more comfortable to play with. i think most of this is physcological and is in our heads, people think that they are going to play better because they use this racket so because they beleive it then they actually do play better. i hope that this makes sense.(i will be getting ns9000 anyway LOL)
very much so.. in no time, you'll start convincing yourself (More importantly, your wife) instead of getting the racket cos you needed it. You will consider yrself as a racket collector like what i did.
