Google didn't help. How tall is Davi Silva from Brazil?
Guessing as tall as Fabian Roth[Ger] -191cm?. By seeing their matches against same opponent.. YOB:2003!... will reach higher level..If so good for badminton, will spread more in South America.. If they can't come on their own , Association(National/Cont. /BWF)/Yonex can sponsor these players for 6 -12 Months trip to Denmark or Malaysia!

Unexpectedly,Shankar won the match against Nhat Nyugen convincingly. Whole match Nhat was uncomfortable playing southpaw. Surprising.

Subramaniyan played exceptionally well...I watched him last against Mangnus I believe in the final of some EU tournament and he won that..so not surprised that he made an upset.

Looking forward to his performance in this tourney.

it is a bit funny that it is still ss300 tournament, but in this case line judges are mostly kids with really bad BMI and they just do not see anything, almost in all matches umpires have to correct lots and lots of calls, and naturally there is no hawk eye... very hope that in the later stages organizers will get their **** together and will get someone who has at at least some marginal reaction and understanding :D

No wonder junior champion beats ranking 32 player.

Sai praneeth is coming back to form?. He was leading most of the time. As usual his fitness let him down today. He was leading 12- 5 in the3rd game and later 19- 16 in the latter stages ofthe 3rd game. He still lost it. Good performance by Li shifeng .

I always try be unbias in my commenting of all players and particularly prefer not to comment much about LS,given my personal links to him, precluding any indications of prejudice for him but this is just a short message to his Indian fans in this forum.

He said -: " Bhai tell them thanks for their support"

Thats all !

65 year old Svetlana Zilberman wins a match in a SS300 tournament. In XD together with her son Misha. Still, that is pretty insane.

And Misha in singles is playing extremely well, considering his age. This young french player was not very sportsmanship (constantly trying to influence line calls... and other stuff) very happy that Misha prevailed

Two weeks ago, an email was sent out by badminton academies in Chicago area (6h drive from the tournament venue) to request line judge volunteers

Some interesting events imo:
- Surprised to see GFJ playing here, considering just last week she was troubled by injuries.
Just a cramp?
Hope she isn't risking too much for WT300 event. She's already way behind her compatriots in skills and ralkings atm.

- KW stretched by Ygor Coelho ( expecting both the young Danes Mads & Magnus to trouble him dearly), LSF stretched by BSP (is he back?) and WHY stretched by Chia Hao Lee (really talented)

- Was half expecting the young LLX to win today.
- What has happened to Kantaphon lately? Once a promising star now struggling to peak out of KV's shadows
- Jan Louda continues to impress, easily dispatched Arnaud Merkle. He'll play Lakshay Sen tomorrow who imo should cruise to the SF.
