I heard rumors that they're using olive oil on the grips to quickly change grips in the pro scene and then rubbing it on the shaft to make it more slippery through the air. Any further leads folks?
The oil serves a dual function actually. Not only is it used to make the shaft more slippery, but when players are in a particularly long rally, they can lick the racket to get that little bit extra energy from the oil to get an advantage over the opponent. Why do you think top players like Momota stay so consistent as the rally drags on, while the opponents falter? It's because the Japanese have the best olive oil, none of that inferior Mediterranean stuff. Just yesterday I had a crate shipped from Japan. Olympics here I come!
Hey guys, my problem is my smash isn't hard enough, can anyone recommend me some socks that improve my smash?
You just have to wear them multiple days in a row. The ferocious smell will push your opponents deeper into their court and makes it harder for them to reach your smashes.
I have just invented a brand new Podiatriatic Cocoon product (sock to you, plebs) built on patented Boost System (BS) technology containing hyperb*llocks nanofibre (polyester) and phalange aeration generator (holes) plus calcaneus rotational generator (stone sewn in) for the astonishing price of 29.99 (per side). I await your orders/money.
I once sat on a bench at my club, there was a racket with a broken string beside me. For most of my friends, we cut each others string to prevent warping and racket damage. So I didn't think much of it and cut the string. It turns out it was a racket from a guy who got really angry because he wanted to repair it... he was known for having hit people before (on the spectrum), whoops
I have seen a few people (2 at a tournament, 1 at a league game) who de-weaved the racket after the string broke. I oftered my pair of scissors to all of them, but all 3 refused to cut it with the words "to have something to do during the break". One said additional "maybe some string can be re-used".
Smash socks are 1 use only im afraid, because they lose their effectiveness in the wash, but you can certainly wash the string before the restring. 30 degrees max, preferably on a delicate setting, and make sure to put your white strings with the whites and colored strings with colors. Trust me, they will play like they're brand new.
Running shoes make me run faster on court than court shoes do. It's improved my singles game by leaps and bounds.
Running shoes are for running. Court shoes are for courting. The ladies can't resist some good court shoes.
Gotta make sure to have both outdoor and indoor court shoes. You'd have better luck courting outside as well than just inside Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
