Loh, u found my old cheerleader! I must say he still looks as youthful as 20 years ago when we were in action together at Stadium Negara ..... I met him during 3rd round, he was complaining about this being thirsty work. For some reason, he didn't have his cheerleading squad with him. One of the other spectators gave him bottled water, bless the guy. Can u imagine that many years ago, he was once arrested for being too exuberant in supporting the Malaysian team? Now the Govt has acknowledged his presence, even sponsored him and the squad for cheerleading duties.
I will post a pic of him taken in front of the stadium. Top guy with lots to shout for. He has got his act down to the tee. Everyone in the stadium synchronises well with his orchestration (the cheering I mean).
he was real near when the semi finals match between LWW/CTF and MK/HS. but unfortunately he was one aisle away. i can hear his voice loud and clear.
Hey Abang, what happened to you? Your old friend still carrying on your 20-year-old flag and you are relaxing? "Sudah punctured"? I think if you and XBall could combine as a doubles pair with telephathic understanding and synchronization with your vocals and tactics, there will be no match for you two. Malaysian players will be rejuvenated and silence all opposition!
Loh, retired as I am from cheerleading, it's not that I don't want to help my old friend. But if you remember, I was coughing a lot that week. Just recovered from a week long fever on Tuesday (WC week), how to perform .... . Almost thought I was not going to meet u guys. My friend is different, he has made cheerleading as a second career (remember that he is now sponsored, and not just for badminton tournaments). The worst I ever saw him was when his voice broke 'cos he shouted too much. As long as he gets his water supply, he is fine.
Hauge, it's time for u to change to digicam already? Talking abt Jakarta, I miss Citraland, Puri Denpasar & Taman Anggrek where I used to stay during projects in Indonesia years ago. And the "bencong" joke in Menteng..."Minta rokok donk?"...
Since you know so much about Indonesia, can you organize a BC group to the next Indonesian Open. Don't know whether Indra or Taufik-ist will welcome us or gang up to silence us instead. But I think Krisna is good natured enough to be our tourist guide and introduce us to Febe, Natsir et all. By then badMania will make every attempt to join us from Hong Kong.
Instead of INA Open, why not go to the Thomas/Uber Cup Finals instead? That would surely be a "hotter" atmosphere.
Sorry didn't know these will be held in Jakarta, when? I was hoping that we could take advantage of Robin's expertise and current enthusiasm!
Off topic-Lucky you.. ..Loh!!..I also saw him, Pak Cik, actually we saw eye to eye as he went downstairs and but for some reason missed a chance to take a pic w/him on the Semifinals day..Too bad he didn't show up (or at least didn't notice him) on the Finals day, if not i would've gone up to him and take a pic..
Hopes MAS & INA Fans can be seated peacefully together in next year TC IF happened to be both teams meet up in the Semis (probably)
You know who took that pic for me? None other than Malaysia's No.1 Diehard Fan! "All the way from Singapore she came. Taking leave to appear first Even sms me at home to entertain How the Malaysian boys were full of thirst To conquer all Was her dream Until one by one they fall To silence her scream When Choong and Lee decay She fell into disarray Selling her ticket away Never to turn up on the final day!" :crying:
Wah, Indra so sporting hah! You better tell us your terms first, otherwise we may misunderstand. Since I'm from Singapore, I will sit in the middle to separate two traditional rivals. But I need police protection first. Only one condition for the time being...
Aiyah, very sayang now that you reminded me. Unfortunately no as things were moving so fast with everyone wanting to take a pic with our superstar Cheer leader. Maybe next time. Hope she has now overcome her sorrows.
