Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 25-Jul-2010 (A Short Report) . Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 25-Jul-2010 (A Short Report) We worked on Overhead Clears (Footwork & Stroke). Some trainees need to practise more on these points; * Counting our movements, so that the correct number of movements (required to get to the shuttle and back to base) is efficiently performed - just like dancing. * Transfer our weight into the shot - hit the shuttlecock between our goal posts. * It's while running back to base, when we hit the shuttle - not hit and run back. * Point of impact at 11:30 - at front of our body plane, when our racket-heads are shining flatter. * Body movement starts from ankle, to knee, to hip, to trunk, to shoulder, to elbow, to wrist - just like our throwing the javelin exercise (where Wendy-L performed quite well in this exercise). * Correct grip (finger control) and follow-through to guide/direct our shot. We welcomed new trainee Umesh-K. And also the return of Mahishi-W. At games time, Khalid-P played well at netplay, almost as good as Sharon-O's now. Emil-P was now getting to hit harder. Hi CCCers, MSAC has informed us that for our CCC CATS on Sunday 01-Aug-2010, we will located at the back of the Table-Tennis hall; We shall meet Court No.14, because of States Titles matches being held in the Badminton hall. However, we shall be holding our CCC CATS at our usual time; from 10:00am to 12:00noon. BTW, Khalid-P requested for Chapter 20: Overhead Backhand Clear. But with bright overhead lighting at the Table-Tennis hall, I would suggest that we should wait for when we return to the Badminton hall to do this chapter. At the Table-Tenis hall, we should work on strokes that we do not need to look up at the bright lights. Requests are now open on what chapter we shall do.
