Malaysia GOLD GP 1st round: Muhammad Hafiz HASHIM vs Dionysius Hayom RUMBAKA [13] Can Habiz survive? BOLEH?
Disappointed to see Habiz lost to NTM in rubber sets 6-21... it simply showed Habiz does not have the stamina to last the game... Has the coach rectified this problem? What has been done?
Thailand GP: Hafiz Hashim, whose performance has dipped even lower since turning professional, has a difficult first round clash against Shon Wan Ho but other national players have easier draws.
It is sad that MHH has to qualify to get to the main draw of the Indonesian Open Superseries Premier 2011. He has really skidded down the rankings and yet not long ago he was Malaysia's 2nd ranked MS player. He did not take long leave from the sport unlike LHI who took 2 years' leave and had to play qualifying matches to get to the main draws. He did well and now he is well-ranked to play in the main draws of any tournament.
HH failed to get past the main draw of the Singapore Open too, losing to a backup player Liew Daren in straight games...
Read my post properly, that was last week... this week lost to Hsueh Hsuan Yi in straight games too. On the other hand Liew Daren made it to the main draw and will meet Taufik again.
Its sad to see HH lost again in the early qualifying round. He needs to critically re-evaluate his current game play and training method, his control, movements and also his physical condition. His wrist work is still very lethal and he still has some dangerous touch in his swings but more often he loss because he kills his own game by making numerous uncountable forced and unforced errors. He also seems to be sluggish in some of his moves and sometimes judging by his facial expression (from my opinion), he just don't look motivated to become a winner. Once I've watch him training at KLRC together with other elite single player back-up (Liew D, Tan CS, CKB, Ariff) and at the end of the training, he was the slowest and frequently makes mistakes of them all be it with or without shuttlecock drill. Come on Hafiz, i know you can do it so buckle up yourself and prove that you still can deliver as what you did when you were the AE champion.
