hi, check out my footwork DVD
cool anymore samples?
well, i think that he wants you to buy the DVD.
loool the guy has huge beard
aamir as in aamir ghaffar??
i cant see the vid here on my work computer
Yes, that's Aamir Ghaffar.
And what's so hugely funny about having a beard?
How would you like being laughed at for being unable to grow one?
i would lik to say his stroke is not perfectly correct. you should be hitting the shuttle right above you and not by ur side which is wat he is doin in the video
Not everyones technique or style is 100% correct.
But he is a fantastic athlete grabbing the silver medal at the commonwealth games in 2006? hmm i dont really remember which year it was. But he lost to Lee Chong Wei.
So i would trust that he is giving across the correct idea.
That's a great vid Bro. Jazzaks.
Yea I wouldnt criticise his technique, he is/was a great player, English national champion 2 or 3 times? And now doing some coaching I think. Here is a pretty good video of him playing in his prime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQRVckUH14
how do you go about purchasing it?
I have got it , it shows the 3 recoveries from the around-the-head.
You can buy it here - http://amirg.com/
Its a great Video .....Very effective.....It can make the diffrence if you implement in the game........The whole video is even more informative......Nice Work ......Its alot more better video than those of Jianhua or others who would practise on a begginer.........
very nice work , finally some badminton instruction videos that uses english, i'm getting a little tired of guess what they're trying to say in chinese.
No beard? . :crying:
beard give wind resistance that's why top players dont have beard...
Oh I see, I was under the impression that the beard was there for cushioning of the head. esp when looking up (clears) and down (retrieving smashes/dropshots), as the pros who with no doubt train a lot, this cushioning may be pretty useful.!!
He's got it right though, recovery is half of the movement in footwork, and is arguably more important that getting there in the first place. Watch LD in OG2008, what's crazy isn't only his speed getting to the bird, but how he just walks back to base position so quickly.
Thanks ammir. What else is covered in the dvd, id be interested in buying a copy if a few more areas are discussed. could you give us a topic list?
I have just recently come across the youtube bit and found it outstanding. Seems to be done with great attention to vital details and I definitely would like to see the other clips. Sadly, the dvd doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere anymore. Has it ever really been, actually?
