I like Misbun coz he is not 'wordy'. One or two words to his charges and he instils a win from them.

    Results do speak.

Again, where is the Major Championship title that they suppose to win as World No. 1 player and Remarkable Coach?

And, who is MAS 2nd MS, 3rd MS?

If, i said if, replace MS with Hendrawan. Do you think DLCW will fell down from his No. 1 chair of WR, and cant performing as what he manage to when coaching under MS?

Both Datos should be grateful for it as DLCW's achievement in staying for a period, a long period in the 1st position. Why?

If LD is as hardworking as DLCW's in terms of competing competitions, do you think DLCW will still able to seat comfortably at the 1st seat?

TH, PG already off-peak. Others such as PSH, CJ, BCL is infected with Yo-Yo Decease.

Conclusion - I see DLCW's achievement in staying as No.1 player for a long period is not because of how good is he, or how remarkable MS was. After all, it is just they are in great timing, and a bit (maybe alot) of luck.

I would agreed both Datos are remarkable when, DLCW can able to beat LD constantly, as what LD did it when facing DLCW.

If LCW is able to beat LD constantly

    .
If LD was to be World No.1 and playing many tournaments to maintain his top ranking position, and LCW was to be selective in his tournaments participation (playing much less); LCW might be able to defeat LD constantly.

Just reversing their roles might bring out a totally different result.

This is just my opinion. ;););)

You may have a point there. That's why I don't understand why LCW should play in Korea Open when LD is giving it a miss and concentrating in MAS open. IMO, Wrong decision by LCW.

Perhaps BAM has decided to keep LCW at World No.1 position

    .
Perhaps BAM has decided to keep LCW at World No.1 position; In other words, BAM is not concerned about the LCW-vs-LD head-to-head results.

IMHO, BAM still hopes that LCW can still defeat LD (via over-extending LCW).
Perhaps, BAM is too ambitious.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    a bit of luck?

    a bit of luck?
i won't argue with u on lcw & ms - the way i see it with my very own eyes, ms is remarkable - sacrificing his time for lcw (only 2 days holidays in port dickson with his wife!)

just let bcer members decide - as a coach point of view or as a player or as a friend and i am 3 of them!:p

1st,badminton is not just about winning
try to find out what gillian clark comment on lindan and lee chong wei(about skipping tournament) on the match lcw vs peter gade in ss master final 1st set
(will there someone quote mine and say i am off topic+ this thread is nothing to do with winning, gillian clark, skipping tournament, lindan and peter gade nor ss master final since the thread title is lcw;))

2nd,do lcw have the right to choose which he gonna skip?
bam have the right, misbun have the right(sea games case),yonex have the right
i dont think they willing to listen on lcw unless he get injured;)

edit:i think he got the right, but the big one didnt willing to listen

I've also complimented LCW for being a very good ambassador of the sport but sadly not all are the same as him.

Perhaps you should try chat with him during tournaments. He's very down-to-earth and easy to discuss, even if opinions differ.
He's terrific as a training coach. Look at how LCW and WMC has improved as shown in their SSMF matches. If they have not, they wouldn't have been able to win the titles (first time they both won at the same time?)

But MS gotta improve as a tournament coach. He seems unaware that he's gotta show he has full confidence in his charges going into their matches. MS still regards LCW like before, making him feel his opponent is hard to beat. That does not help LCW or WMC's confidence , going into a match.

MS knows how hard both LCW and WMC have trained. It would be better for MS to fire them up by pointing out how well prepared they have been, so they would be hard to beat, not their opponents.

Confidence is the key to form in a match.
