    If ZM62 at 28lbs = ~BG65 at 32, how is ZM62 at 28lbs compare with BG80???

And is Panda a very hard hitter; to be able to generate good smash at 28 - 32lbs??? Since I have a medium smash, getting older shoulder, and would not like to loose any hitting power by having too stiff strings.

ZM62 at 28 = BG80 at ~28.5-29.0 initially but after a week or so, BG80 will drop tension a bit more than ZM62 so maybe a 2lbs. difference then.

But please remember, this is not to say BG80 is not good at holding tension, it's, in fact, excellent. ZM62, BG80 and BG-70Pro are among the best strings at holding tension. Just ZM62 is a bit better than the rest.

Playing at 30+lbs. is only beneficial if you can maximize (flex the string) its potential consistently. If not, it's not worth it because you seriously stress the racket, the string, your technique and your body (specifically your arm).

UK/EU buyers: the wait is over

Well, turns out my guesstimate of "first week of July" was bang on the money - the little customs slip is in my hand as I write. I just need to gouge my liver out to pay the customs and then we can get cracking:).

You'll all have to re-remind me of your stringing preferences, I'm afraid... I can remember pi to 100 digits but apparently not seven strings and tensions.

    Hi Mark

    Fantastic news - can't wait:D

No stringing for me as I will get my local stringer to string mine with Yonex BG66 Maxima, unless you have some.

    Cheers

There is no all black racket. The closest one will be the Revelation which is predominately black with silver writing and all natural woven graphite.

The Revelation is still at least 3 months away.

Here's the proposed design by Sketchy:

Hot damn if your manufacturer can pull that off, that promises to be the slickest design yet. It evokes things like guns, the new Bat-Tank, and all things like that. I'm drooling everywhere now

No, no build-up, no hype. Just testing to make sure the racket is right.

Like the slogan in the 1980s commercial for Martini & Rossi's Asti Spumante, "We will not sell wine, before it is time", Panda will not produce a racket until he feels it's right.

Yes or no. Yes if the prototypes they send this time are the specs Panda requested and they play like Panda guesstimates (minor changes, should be right on). No, of course, if they are not. If yes, 2 months. If no, 3+ months.

Having two Genesis prototypes to hand I should tell you that they are FAR better-looking in person than the design sheet suggests. I wasn't really taken with it on paper but the rackets look great in the flesh; I find myself hoping that this design will be "frozen":).

I can't play with them - they're not mine - but the shaft flex is reminiscent of a slightly stiffer T2. In any case, judging them against prodution Gens would be pointless: as Dink says, these two are off-spec.

Hi Dink, as you can see below, I also charted your results on the different BP and weights, and the conclusion is; on top of liking them with an high tension, we can also say that you also like them with a light weight and with an higher BP. The lighter they are, the higher is the BP. It is also true, that you need an higher BP with a lighter racquet if you want to develop a certain amount of power.

I will chart my actual racquets, and see the ones I prefer, and try to establish a relation, then I will order one of your T2 from MJ in Ontario, to see if it helps finding the best suitable racquet.

I'm looking for a racket to complete my collection, may end up waiting for the Genesis. Sounds like an ace racket.

Looking forward to getting my T2 though. BP: 293, Weight: 82.5g. Which is just about perfect for me, will be a lot like my AT900T i hope just with a bit more punch.

    I'm on tenterhooks Mark :D Can't wait
