Hello guys! Long time no see!
Ive been stringing with the t12 for close to a year now! I really enjoy being able to string my own rackets as I can get them strung alot faster and cheaper then with my local stores which i used previously. I was looking to upgrade either parts or the machine itself and i was wondering if I could get some opinions on this. Currently the machine is all stock and i was thinking about maybe upgrading the side supports to chudeks and maybe the clamp bases to some semi automatic ones or maybe even get a wise if i could get a deal on one.
    Thanks

These upgrades would be to help me save time while stringing. Would you guys recommend i try a one piece stringing pattern? Ive only ever done the yonex 2-piece pattern.

Really depends on how much you want to invest.
    - semi-automatic clamp bases
    - Chudek side supports
    - WISE 2086 tension head

So you are already on the right track with your ideas imo.

And they won’t be coming back to Tennisman. So I’m afraid you’ll have to look on Aliexpress.

And speaking of Aliexpress, these might be an even better solution than the Chudeks:

I’ve seen them on the new iTennis machines and they are just brilliant.

Yeah i saw those earlier in another thread, they should fit on my t12? Do you happen to know of any clamp bases that would fit my machine?

You need to measure the mounting hole distance to be sure, but afaik they should fit.

And they should be the fitting semi-automatic bases:

But again, make sure to measure if you have the 12.0 or 12.2 mm diameter clamp posts.

Could you give me the difference between normal and semi automatic bases? Once you unclamp it automatically releases the base but does it lock the base one you clamp the string?

It had that feature, but imo nobody uses it. The right process is still to first release the base, then the clamp.

The biggest advantage is the spring loaded locking mechanism that is released with the push of a button. Looks like this:

And that is just very convenient and comfy.

All good worthy upgrades, but if i were to put an order of Should Have to Nice to have:
    1) WISE 2086 tension head (~1K CAD after exchange + duty + shipping new)
    ...
Chudek/The other supports (~$100 CAD max all in)
    Semi-automatic clamp bases.(~$300-500 for a pair + shipping etc)

There's a reason of the 3 the largest investment is the Wise.
I would hold back on the latter two until you figure out what you need after you get a Wise.

If you string an average of 10 rackets a month for 12 months, that should pay for a new WISE alone. You just have to plan and budget carefully.

I didn't change my drop weight to my previous Gamma + WISE setup until 5 years of use. That setup lasted 10 years until i'm now using a victor VE-50. With my drop weight i was averaging 50-200 rackets a year. My previous setup 200-700 rackets a year. With my new machine i'm estimating an annual avg of 400-500 but am prepared to revisit 600-700.

Based on that above data (started with a spreadsheet, I wrote my own app in-house to track all clients and string jobs) it makes it easier to plan and determine where and how far you want to take your stringing hobby to.

This level of detail and thought i put into is why i find stringing soothing and stress relieving.

I was looking at these on AliExpress alongside some clamps as the ones that came with my Gamma Progression ST II have started to lose the diamond coating. But I need some help with figuring out if the clamp base fits and which fixed clamp fits the clamp base. I have included the links to the item I am looking at below.

Any advice or insight into this would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I cannot give you any advice if the bases fit the rails on a Gamma machine. Regarding the clamps, you just need to make sure that the shaft diameters of both clamps and base fit. So 12.0 or 12.2 mm for example.

I took a look in the stringing machine pictures thread and most people with a similar setup look like they have a low adaptor so ill get one of those. Thanks!

Should be getting it soon… How do I test to make sure that it’s working properly?

I installed the wise on my machine and added the spacer underneath the turntable but my bolts weren’t long enough so I will go buy some later today. With the spacer, the wise is lower then the racket but I still won’t be able to achieve 360 degree rotation. Since the wise is lower, it should be good to go for now right? Will look into getting an aditional spacer to get the 360 rotation
