I might be buying a bt boom for my badminton shoes, I'm currently a size 9 in US should I get any higher or lower? :0
Does anyone know anywhere else selling these? http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/sho...facturers_id=57&products_id=1744#.UjdnURxEU6M MBS Is the ONLY place I have seen them advertised. Thanks
Tried them on in my normal size and they fit the same as my old Yonex 9.5 (meaning I would get a 10 next time but that probably goes for any brand so if your US9 fits fine you can get these in a 9 as well). Surprisingly wide fit having read about the BT Feather before but low quality outer sole on this BT Boom, something for your PE class maybe. I guess the RRP is the same as the price above at MBS (€55 = ~$75USD) but as mentioned on sale for ~$47 here. They didn't have a size 10 left unfortunately so can't tell you how much better that fits me.
Nice write up, mate. I am in the market for a new shoe. I've been thinking about Gel Blade 4, which is strangely is not listed on major UK on-line stores and Gel Progessive, and BT Feather. I don't care about the price, just want a quality shoe with good support and cushioning, as I am in my 40s. I have had Yonex shoes in the past but this time will choose from other makes. How does it compare with top end shoes from Yonex, which I used in the past?
Hi guys, anymore updates or reviews on the BT feathers? Especially in comparison with the Asics Gel Blade 3. I've had Yonex SHB 85 before, which were ok, but the cushioning was gone quite fast and they were a bit wide for my feet (I have quite small feet). I have the silver/red Gel Blade 3 for a year now and I am very pleased with these shoes. The fit is great, they are excellent for small feet, the cushioning is very good and it last quite long too. It's light weight. Only the grip is less than Yonex shoes IMO. However, I'm very interested in the BT Feathers. How do they compare to Gel Blade 3, anyone? Are they good for small feet? And how is the cushioning, especially the fore foot area? Besides, anyone could give advise on the size? My Asics are size 44,5 EURO or 10,5 US. Thanks in advance!
I have tried quite a number of brands before like Yonex, Kumpoo, Li Ning, Victor and Adidas. I won't say one brand is the best as each of them has their own strength. I have 4 shoes and I rotate amongst them and I find myself going to the BT feather every time instead of doing the rotation. What I love about the BT feather is that it is light and yet provide sufficient cushioning for me (I am a light weight myself). Fit wise is good but it does not provide the snug and padded feel like Asics. I also love that it has very high abrasion and tear resistant upper material.
couple of our local retailers got hold of BT feather so i went and checked them out. the shoes look nice, seem very well-made and supposedly quite durable. feel nice, averagely tight. but they are very low cut. i can't really tell if it's good or bad, my shb-01 are rather low cut too but these are even lower.
Yeah, I struggled with the low cut. Very nice shoes altogether, and looks a little improved compared to the old BT Feather, but the very low cut was not sth I liked. Pretty impressive cushioning though.
I have been trying out BT feather recently. I have to say it is very comfortable for my wide feet. The fit is nice and snug. The sole doesn't feel so narrow that I feel unstable when I plant my foot on the floor. There is a catch. I do feel a bit flat footed on court (even with my special insoles). It feels like I get less spring or rebound compared to the Yonex shoes used before. I can only think the Yonex shoes have a stiffer sole. When you land on it and deform it a bit, it springs back into shape giving a slight rebound effect. (I.e. kinetic energy to potential energy back to kinetic energy). Anybody else get a similar feeling of being a bit flat footed with the BT Feather?
Anyone seen these Adidas shoes? Called Adidas Feather Fly. I don't think they're made specifically for badminton but they certainly look sharp!
how wide is your feet? Hi Cheung, mind me asking how wide is your feet and what size are you wearing? I have a wide feet of 11cm wide and 16cm length. I wonder whether I should get UK9 (27.5cm) or UK9.5 (28cm) instead.
