Actually I was able to loosen my clamps a bit with this stuff; the rubbery coating means it doesn't have to be clamps as tightly.
Appreciate if someone can do a comparison between LN1 & NBG98 in terms of feel, durability, tension hold @ 23x25lbs. Many Thanks
IMO they have similar repulsion and durability. LN1 feels much better to me and is much more textured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No comparison at all. LN#1 is noticeably better than NBG98 in all areas of feel, control, durability, tension retention, power.
What's your reference tension? For me at 32lbs. on both, NBG98 is initially crisper and has better feel, LN1 is more powerful. But once both strings set, hands down, LN1 is better in all aspects.
Something more sane around 27 lbs. Problem with NBG98 is that it's probably the most slippery string ever made, making it almost impossible to control. Teflon coated maybe? Then after around 8 hrs play, it suddenly starts to feel numb, and by 12 hrs the coating is toast and it starts fraying like no other string.
At 30 to 34lbs., I haven't had any problems with control (grip). Then again, at that tension, I've never had any problem with any string being slippery; so we maybe onto something.
Hi All, How does the string compares to the Zymaxx 67 and 65, in terms of feel, control, power and durability and how is the string like on a lower tension let's say around 22... 23lbs? Greetings, Erik
No.1 beats Zymax 65 and 67 in every single aspect. Even at lower tension I like it much. A pretty superb string in terms of feel, repulsion and durability. You can't go wrong with No.1.
How is the sound at these low tensions also beats it the other strings?? I will order a new racket in 2 weeks and I think I'm sure to string it with this string at 23lbs.... Looking forward to play again!!! And wich color should be the best choise in terms of durability... too much choises
Normally yellow outplay every other color in terms of performance. I have seen you play plastics, right? Even at 31lbs with BG80 every smash with plastics sounds like a light "pock" instead of loud and crisp "issssh".
so it sould also sounds nice... at a low tension I was thinking of purchassing the following colors: Black, Red, Yellow, Orange and Gold.... should look nice on different rackets I think... Yes I play 90% plastics....
Forget good and crisp sound with plastics. Impossible. Also don't get fooled by different colours. Different colours can be slightly different in terms of coating. E.g. roughness. Yellow and white is for most strings the best shot. FME the more intense the colour, the poorer the performance, exclude ZM Fire and BG80Power. Every black string I tried played aweful.
I normally play at club nights/training sessions, a handful tournaments and league games and not at the fashion week. Black strings look always like you have a new cheapo clone. Maybe I'm strange, but I care more about my performance than colours and looks. I don't want to attract girls or need photos for a family album when I play. BTW picking up girls is also possible with white or yellow strings.
It didnt go through my mind when I strung my racket n90 iii with bg66 that LN no. 1 was also a string of choice. But in terms of repulsion and hitting sound how does it compare with the b66 I kinda want a string that has a hitting sound of a thunder. Can the LN no. 1 do this?
Yeah, I can only repeat myself, when I hit my first shot with this string I thought I've broken the strings right away.
