This is basically all due to Olympics' rules and badminton being so nation oriented instead of individual which it should be... just imagine if this is LCW vs WCH and LD is the winner of the other semi-finals... Guess what is likely to happen? I won't say 100%, but at least a 50% chance that WCH won't go all out to drain LCW as well.

If LYB "decides" to let CJ win, then the smog really must have got to his brain. LD 200% win.

You certainly don't know about Malaysian culture. But, LYB's culture is well known. ZM is really the victim of LYB's culture. There is no spirit of Olympics at all. I feel shameful as an overseas chinese.

When the country's first possible Olympic gold medal is on the line... can you guarantee 100% that they would go all out and drain each other before the final? Seriously... WCH has no chance if it is against LD, so only LCW has a chance... and what if WCH could have beaten LCW. Think about it.

...after winning the gold medal, it may all be worth it, perhaps. He can then go on and play for a European country or something. More $$$ and free from LYB's grip. :p

I honestly don't care which other country's do it, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Denmark, Korea...

I'm just saying we, as fans and lovers of the sport, shouldn't encourage it.

He would, because that's the mentaility of LYB's team...and I don't blame them because that's the way they were taught since childhood. country always comes first.

too bad for CJ ... nothing he can do, but perhaps he'll get some compensation for doing so, who knows.

Me, too.. but sadly enough badminton is not about individual.

I hate it as much as anyone when players are viewed as the country they represent and not the players themselves. However, there is nothing we can do because that is the way this sport is structured.:crying::crying::crying:

It's sad really...I know patriotism is important but this is not a good way to show it...I know it is a norm for China to do this sort of thing but I just hope that CJ's match against LD will not be like that... Wishful thinking perhaps?

You can't understand the difficulty of having to play 3 matches within a day during SS MS qualifier as his world ranking then was 100+ after 6-month of rest from his injury.

Lin Dan will unhappy if CJ beat him in semi-final. Because Lin gave the way for CJ to qualify in olympic. so what? Lin's selfish? What do u think of it?

before CJ disobeying, he would ask, would he able to beat LD even if he go all out? now u can ask this question yourself, if CJ obeyed the supposed setup at 08 AE final, why would CJ disobey now??:rolleyes:

    Guess you are wrong then.
I wont go on to talk about 0% or your "at least 50%".
But it just give the hint of your mindset, somehow you are approve of this even though you know it is un-sportmanship.
