Maybe they should be more unambiguous when giving interviews. If someone says they will cook soup, or make noodles for someone after something, that indicates they don't now - which means a change. It is natural for people (esp media) to assume this means retiring in a sporting sense. Or maybe they want to keep people talking.........

XXF looked absolutely miserable playing in the olympic games. Yea, she seemed thrilled when she won, but shes one of those players who never crack a smile. I saw players who lost matches with huge deficits and were happier than her. I wouldnt blame her for quitting, if she is enjoying the sport, I wouldnt be able to tell.
I said in another thread somewhere XXF looks like the type of player who could quit anytime...but she has always been like that. On the other hand LD looks like he loves it. You never know though now LD has won nearly everthing (exc. Asian Games) maybe his desire will wane. XXF may keep going. You never know what is going on inside.

I think XXF is extremely upset at herself because she probably let herself down. This was the golden opportunity to be the golden couple that won the gold medal together. She's probably down, but I really don't think they'll split. If you guys watch the MS final between LD & LCW, the camera caught glimpse of XXF watch LD with enthusiasm and full of support. I truly doubt it that if she's thinking about splitting up with him that she'll behave that way.

xxf will to quit now...for some reason...but depends on lyb and team to decide...but then...holding xxf from retire is not a good thing for both xxf and lyb...
I also say XXF clapping for Lin Dan during the Gold Medal final so im pretty sure they won't split up, but XXF obviously not happy about her loss as she felt that this year would be a big opportunity to win it as she is still young.
