Carola looked today much better Good fighting spirit, not so many mistekes by herself and of course she had more supporters beside the court So we can see her tomorrow again Anybody knows if the semis or finals are shown on TV somwhere also?
later today you can see from bwin.com the semis... but you had to register and make the deposit in amount of 10 euros... on better side is that they have often 2 cameras in European badminton competitions (in other sports also... the stream is mostly very good, microphone is behind the umpire (so you can hear the converstions between games or coaches instructions sometimes but the video box is rather small and cannot be zoomed to full screen for myself I had got a lot of fun for that money so i don't complain
2009 Dutch Badminton Open (Carola Bott vs Judith Meulendijks) . In a few minutes' time, this Womens Singles Semi-Final match will be played: Carola Bott[GER] - [NED] Judith Meulendijks [2] Dutch fans will be in full force to support Judith. Let's hope that Carola can fight on and do all her best to make it into the FINALS. .

Just came back from Dutch Open. A little bit disappointed with Dicky's performance and Ikeda/Shiota loss, but enjoyed Yao Jie vs Konon, Judith vs Bott, and the Russia/Bulgaria vs Germany WD...
2009 Dutch Open: Congratulations to Chetan Anand, the only Asian player left standing . Both home players, Judith and Yao Jie, defeated Carola and Olga at the Semi-Finals. At the Finals, Chetan Anand is the only player from Asia left standing to battle on. .
Congratz to all winners! Russian players grabbed 2 title here through WD and XD. Host Netherlands, India and Germany won 1 title each. MS -- Chetan Anand (IND) WS -- Yao Jie (NED) MD -- Kristoff Hopp/Johanness Schoettler (GER) WD -- Valeria Sorokina/Nina Vislova (RUS) XD -- Alexandr Nikolaenko/Valeria Sorokina (RUS)
He cleaned up in europe last year/last few years(?), probably not all GP's but at least Bitburger 2008 was one. Other "news" I've picked up is Yonex Japan will be sponsoring the dutch federation for the next 7(!) years bringing in a comparatively pitiful sum of 3.2 million euro. (pitiful compared to football shirt sponsorship deals, let alone equipment deals). A similar deal in structure to Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan requiring all national team and junior national team members to wear Yonex equipment. Well I'm not sure if those other countries have that requirement but I heard that's in the dutch deal, leading to possible/probable conflict since at least three members of the national team have other deals. Also many Indian players were wearing Li-Ning (Anand, Bhat, Sridhar ... more?) but not all like Kashyap Parupalli, Sanave Thomas and partner Rupesh Kumar (all Yonex), I think Marc Zwiebler was using the ArcSaber Z-Slash and I'm surprised "everyone's" is suprised by Olga Konon's success. What a difference a different flag makes? Some people actually think she's polish . The other young talent Kasper Ipsen was actually quite dissapointingly boring in style. A no frills hard worker whom probably bored Peter Gade to death by running down every single shot when he became the first dane in who knows how many years to beat him a while back .

3.2 million Euros in 7 years is indeed a very pitiful amount Downright monopoly by Yonex and even INA is trying to break free of Yonex.
