How does the visible hollow 1800 and tantrum 200 compare to high end yonex such as armortec 900, nanospeed 9000 and arcsaber 10? About the same performance? a lot different?

from what i can tell from the reviews, yes, they have similar performance, but the apacs suffer a slightly more vibration compared to yonexs.. CMIIW :D still for that kind of price difference, you'd be better off with apacs, unless money is no object

My tantrum 200 just arrived. Took it out in the garden for a few practice swings but hoping to play tonight if i am not working. Looks great. Its stamped 3U although on most sites it states 4U. Gone for the apacs spider ti 66 @ 24lbs. so be interested to see how it compares to my edgesaber 10 as was just starting to get used to that and it was really coming in to its own.

Stringing question. My other apacs rackets have an orange string called an apacs super power. Is this better or worse than the spider ti66? The ti looks thinner although i find i get good distance with the super power.

I play at advanced level and have used 9 apacs (they perform very close to yonex), and I rate my best 5:
    1. Power Concept 1168
    2. Furious 900
    3. Nano 9000
    4. Power Concept 700
    5. Edgesaber 9
But I find 2 apacs of the same model (everything identical from grip to stringing) gives different feel.

I agree that the VH1800 is a great racquet. Especially for singles. It is quite stiff and it does tire me out relative to my Panda Power Trinity (at 85g and 285mm bp).

Update on my tantrum 200. I was very fortunate to play with it last night and was very impressed. Plays like it says in the reviews, very easy to use. Good all round power. I really like it which for one night is quite a statement, sometimes takes a while to get to know the racket. One slight problem because its a heavier racket i had trouble doing backhand flick serves, just couldn't generate enough oomph. So will have to practise on that. Nice looking racket too.

change my mind about the 9600 pro, it's doesn't feel as solid as the lethal 50.

I am fond with Apacs products, its really nice and affordable..
currently i am using Apacs Tantrum 200, its medium weight racket and i string it at 28lbs with yonex bg 66...i find it is excellent in attack and defend (my personal view)..

It's because they have different weight. Before I bought my Lethal 50, I weighted two of them unstringed and with d ori grip: one was 82g while the other was 87g.

I bought the 82g one as its feels better to my hand. :D
