AVP plays very similar to Victor BS 12 (some says is a complete clone), may be you can consider a BS12 that for your wife.
After i play more than just once, I notice that the stiffness which i have described it before came from the high tension but it has became a little bit loose now . Now I agree with Carbonex_7 that this racket is a user friendly racket once you get used to it. As i have described it before, avp is a head heavy racket with a feel like a whipping consentrated iron with a less vibration. After the tension is loose, it have become more powerfull, repulse and accurate. I notice that AVP using a blade shape frame like brave sword. And i have confirmed the size of the frame with a side by side comparison and it is smaller compared with my tantrum 200II. I think these are the reason why AVP more faster compared with any other racket and i need to get used to it before i could unleashed it potential. For me this racket is comparable with the jetspeed or bravesword racket.
By far the best racket ive ever used! The frame is so quick you wouldnt even realise its head heavy. Even better than my high end yonex and victor racket.
How long hv u used the racket? U need to spend at least 20-30+ hours to make a reasonable judgement, after the 'new racket' + effects wear off.
Also how does this compares to Ziggler LHI? I'm curious because i know an high intermediate club player critize this racket as a failed product. He did not elaborate in details though.
Ive used AVP for about 10 sessions now. Unfortunately i havent tried the ziggler LHI so i cant compare :/
I had the old Ziggler LHI, which was a pretty good singles racket but I gave it up in favour of the AVP and tantrum 200ii.
My AVP has been taken over by my new Ashaway Phantom X-Fire. Lol. Just got the X-Speed 2 few days ago and yet to try it on court yet. ) Having said that, I still go back to my AVP whenever I think i need to pack some powerful smashes in my doubles game.
I've had this racket for 6 months now and I love it, but the only thing I still don't like is the string bed and small sweet spot. Shots outside the sweet spot don't feel as consistent, and takes a few hits to used to if you switch between a singles and doubles racket. Once you get used to it, it's a great racket.
Is this the best racquet for an offensive player at this price point or is there any better? Should I buy this one? *I am a back court player and I smash hard*
This is NOT the best racket for offensive player. No, you shouldn't buy one as you smash hard and may break the racket. AVP is a medium stiff fast swing racket, not suits your style of play.
Which one would be the best under 120$? Please help me * I don't like too much head heavy racquets kinda like fast swinging racquets*
