As I See It..(from Pemuda)..

Like most of our posts, problems are easy to identify. But we need to offer some solutions.

Australia and many nations are not doing well at Badminton. We don't see BCers from these nations complaining and complaining when no constructive solutions are offered.
.

Nobody says what this guy says is wrong. He always said repeated facts which everyone already knew. I have said this many times and let me re-iterate here: It is not WHAT he said but HOW he said that hurt. Whenever Malaysia players failed to deliver, bashing was almost guaranteed by this guy. But you wouldn't see any congratulatory statements by him when Malaysia won.

If kids do anything wrong, parents have to tell them what they did wrong. No point of repeatedly scolding without giving any advices/resolutions on how to correct their shortcomings.

The only good thing about this guy is that he writes pretty good English.

i have said this before but i'll say it again (lol, sounds like pemuda). Offering solution now is not at the right time because most MAS fans and BAM were and maybe still is in a denial state. Until they recognize and accept their flaws and inefficiency, it is fruitless to brainstorm for solutions. Yes, many MAS fans here in bf are way more knowledgeable than the general MAS population so exception to them of my above statment. Human emotional cycle follow a very predictable trend. If the big wig BAM is still in denial mindset, don't expect improvement.

You might be a fan of LCW or Koo/Tan and hence you defended them. Tell you what, I am a fan of Pemuda...
..actually limsy is pretty neutral and see things objectively..and i believe he's a fan of Pemuda, too..if Pemuda was a leng lui (Pemudi), i'm sure limsy will be talking abt her left & right & center..;)
..I too am a fan of Pemuda, young guy, articulate and I say smart too.
..he's not so smart in his actions, thus the banning; but he's smart in choosing to advance his education rather than to mingle around in this forum...who knows, maybe one day we'll see Pemuda up on the podium giving speeches..;)
..Is there any particular reason why Pemuda was banned?
...
..there was a reason. However, only mods know the details.

here is a segment of the emotional cycle, in chronological order and the group i think they are in

denial (BAM) > desperation (coaches) > panic (active players) > capitulation (post game feedback and review) > depsondency (MAS population) > depression (most fans) > hope (most bf fans) > relief ( not their yet:D)

as u can, the fans are ahead of the changes than .. BAM who is the key mover and shaker here.

I must admit I use to hate pemuda and his writings. I cannot believe how a Malaysian can bash his own players. But after reading his posts I admit he made a lot of sense. I hope I won't anger senior members here but the guy did offer solutions to our badminton. Like many I was just too mad to see it initialy. And if we read his postings other than badminton stuff you will be surprise with his general knowledge as well. In terms of insults, to be fair it was two way traffic. Many here if we are honest are not exactly angels too. Maybe it was all of us against him alone that cause him to be banished.

Anyway I salute his last post. He bears no grudges and I think we should do so too.

100% agree...Limsy has one eye on TC and one eye scouting the leng luis not only in the stadium but in food court as well...Limsy, next time don't just eye the leng luis, go for it, I am sure the leng luis won't bite you la...hahaha!! Woohoo!!!

A leader leads, while a follower go with the flow and echo words what others want to hear. Pemuda is calling a 'spade is a spade' and often said, 'agree to disagree', that is fair enough. Maybe I like people telling me straight up the damn honest truth than some whishy washy stuff and for that, I respect what Pemuda says.

Really, ain't that the truth. No swearing, no name calling, nothing personal just honest, straight from the heart commentary, so what is the rationale for banning?

I don't think you need to apologize to anyone to speak for yourself in a civil and honest manner. I won't.

after reading this thread, i found out that there are members acting just like Pemuda. the harsh posts, immature post etc....
please discuss in good manner and show maturity.

this is an example of constructive post if anyone dont understand what i mean....
MAS players are fortunate to play for MAS to allow the players to keep 100% of their SS winnings, and BAM provides all training, nutrition, massage theraphy, etc. I have said times over again, badminton today is big business, it is business first and the game second. Fans get fanatical and angered by remarks from people like Pemuda saying things of their hero they do not like to hear but the damn truth hurts, too bad. Winning SS is ultra important to MAS player like LCW, it increases his WR points to WR1, qualify bonus $$$, feeds of into endorsements, winning SS range from US$15-$20, winning SSF even bigger US$40K, and so on, it increases his income and allows him to retire oneday, a rich man. So, if you are LCW, what would you do with prolly 2-3 years playing time left...play all the SS possible and hope to win majority of them and if LD absent, it makes it easier and so much the better.

On Pemuda, if anyone read his past posts, he did give his 2 bits advice on making MAS baddy better but most people find it hard to accept. Just like us overseas ex-malaysian, I am sure Pemuda wants MAS to do well. He did congrats MAS when MAS wins. Quite interesting that even after Pemuda quits, just the sheer mention of his name and this thread via Chris, can generate 4 pages of posts and counting. It justs prove how popular or polarizing Pemuda is. His posts are direct, no swearing, no mincing words either and carries a lot of truth even though it hurts many people soft ego. Pemuda has often questioned Dato mental toughness, and lately, the MAS players themselves admit 'culturally, they lack the mental toughness of the chinese, korean and Japanese'...how ironic which mouth those words come from and are exactly what Pemuda said and he got whacked for that left right and center:D I too am a fan of Pemuda, young guy, articulate and I say smart too.

Different forums have different criteria when it comes to drawing that line on the sand. Personally, I find Pemuda's opinions rather interesting and thought-provoking that could have been put differently although some people will find them offensive. But that was his own unique style. It all comes down to one's tolerance of opinions that may clash bitterly with your own. At my age I go to sleep when everyone agrees with everyone. I need opposing but rational views to have a good day, provided it is not under-the-belly personal blow type. I like the Yin and the Yang of the circle of life.

don't think bam is in a denial state at this moment;) we just have to wait for the next few days/weeks to see the changes:cool:
if not, what you say about not expecting improvement maybe true;)

BAM cant deny anything.. it is out in the open. Just that they dont want to reveal certain things...

To me SS is not as prestigious as AE, Olympic, WC or Thomas cup. If SS was as prestigious as Thomas Cup, we would have public holiday everytime we won a SS. Fyi, we had a public holiday when we won the Thomas cup in 1992. To you winning a lot of SS is a very proud thing but not to me. We were a badminton powerhouse during the 1950s and 1960s and we have now gone backwards. If we still do not think (or act) like pemuda, we are going to fall more and more backwards...

You might be a fan of LCW or Koo/Tan and hence you defended them. Tell you what, I am a fan of Pemuda...

hahaha
this is funny
u had said that was on 1950 and 1960;)
just admit that malaysia cant win the og or wc/uc/tc
now is 2010
lol
dont live in past glory
dont talk about major title when u cant even win the minor one

lol
i know more about bam than pemuda do
and yet u think he can think clearer than me about bam?;)
fans of lcw?and koo/tan?
does they qualified?
i prefer kenichi tago and lee yong dae
u must have only read pemuda post thats why u dont know who is my fave;)

of cz,u defend pemuda bcz u are his fans
simple;)

but we must done this step by step lah
dont think of fly before walk
now
we start to win ss regularly 1st
wc,og,uber cup
after this lah
ok?

i do tell him i missed him and his post:D

Yes, agree wit u lots, limsy...
We must take it step by step first la.. it's less stressful on the mind...
I remember when ah Taufik was playing some tourney.. he said he thought of slowly earning point by point, not longing to be a champion (well, that's common knowledge today).
It's easier for the mind to grasp and more beneficial in the future...

I perfectly agree, taneepak.
I too found his different perspective and writing styles interesting sometimes...
Some of the arguments he presented were quite intelligent..
Really, depends on how the reader interprets it, for good or for bad....

Hang Jebat story during the golden age of the Melaka Sultanate

This is a forum after all. I guess everyone is free to make any remarks. Hell if you want to shoot me for a good reason.. then hell shoot me if you want. Is there any particular reason why Pemuda was banned? Did he curse the 4 letter word in the forum, personal 4 letter word attack on someone? Or use double or triple usernames etc?... I guess any member in the forum is important. It makes the "forum". If a member or a vocal member is banned. I think there should be a notice or a reason posted why Pemuda is banned. So far i have not seen any... unless someone post me a link of that "Notice" of ban.

Wonder if Pemuda has thought carefully about the Hang Jebat story during the golden age of the Melaka Sultanate?

If Hang Jebat is still living now, wouldn't it be better for him to start his own website, blog, facebook, forum, etc... to voice his opinions?

Pemuda could have created his own too; his website, blog, facebook, forum, etc... to voice his opinions too.

When we post at BC, we are guests here talking to other BC guests. BC has house rules. If we break the BC house rules, we should expect that we will be banned.

Personally, I did not know that Pemuda was banned. He was in in 'Ignore List'.

Actually, the 'Ignore List' is quite useful. I learnt about it from this thread:

.

too tired reading after the 2nd page, but in general i think many boleh-land ppl cannot seem to accept critics and choose instead to ignore or ban ppl who offer the true picture.
of coz it is difficult to accept reality like what bro pemuda had put it bluntly.
maybe boleh-land ppl, like their government prefer to live in their own perfect world.

can u imagine dat the players even said 'culture' as the main reason of TC2010 failure? (btw i dun think losing to CHN is a failure. but losing to JP??)

it is culture that datuk,kkk/tbh,hh got spoilt by their limited success.

From where/whom was the ban originated?

It could be from the USA, UK, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore or Malaysia?

oh yes he did, too many times to too many members:cool:

the mod don't just banned members, they will give you warning(s) and if you don't heed them, well, you will be pressing your own ban button:D

i like to get you correct - do you mean there are moderator(s) who are boleh-land ppl and cannot accept critics so they choose to ban ppl who offer the true picture?
just to clarify your meaning:cool:

My problem with Pemuda is not that he is pointless. He does have his points. There are points in which I readily agree with him. There are points which are contestable. And there are points which I think are plainly wrong. Sometimes, I agree with his general point but he goes so far to the extreme that I have to disagree. But that's not the problem.

The problem is how he delivers his points. He has the ability to insult everyone he dislikes and yet paints himself as the victim. He can pretend to be meek and see forgiveness, and in the next swift stroke, insult you again. He hates it when others get personal, except it's ok that he does it all the time. He acts all high and mighty, but when he is proven wrong, changes the topic altogether.

Based on his posts, I can only conclude that he is a hypocrite, a whiner and a troll. The forum is much better off without him. I hope he's not like that in real life.
