Actually, Tommy played brilliantly, esp in G2 against Chen Long and the first half of G3. Both contestants are very fit and displayed amazing retrieving ability, and Chen Long just got it right when it mattered more in the last third of the tiebreaker. Overall, I'd say TS read CL's game better than the way round though he lost in the end.
He Bingjiao and Chen Xiaoxin duked it out one game apiece and HBJ prevailed in the decider. Just checked the draw and realized that for the CHN WS, apart from LXR in the top half, the other five were in the bottom half of which four were in the same quadrant. Not a good draw. Anyway, LXR, Han Yue, Cai Yanyan, all three disappointed with one round exits playing error-prone game.
Shi yuqi escaped by the skin of his teeth. Prannoy after having a huge lead in the decider missed the chance.
