yeah!!, I think u should!!, hihi... hafiz is cool!!!. I'm only 14 and i really really really wanna be an international player. I can pick up shuttles on ground when I'm 9 and I learned smash when I was 10.
I think getting your parents support is very important to be an acomplished player. You need their backing and support all the way. I used to be very good player without formal coaching till around 15/16. I had one of the best coaches in Malaysia at that time. Unfortunately had to give up because of studies and my parents wouldn't let me go further with my badminton. For all you young players out there, I would advise you to train hard and enjoy the game. To succeed internationally, you also have to have the mental strength and the 'killer instinct'. For kids like Joanne and Eva, I sincerely wish you all the best and hope that you will succeed in the international arena. Never give up. Just recently started playing again after an 8 year lay off. It feeld good to be playing again. Never know, might be playing competitive again soon (at my age, i have not lost my speed, agility and power. but stamina is an issue)
My mum was a state player once, she too enjoys badminton. So I don't think I'll have any problems in the future.
