football season 2010/2011

dont think mu will sign van der vaart
SAF is building the team for his successor after his retirement

"Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson says he may loan Alberto Aquilani out to a club in the midfielder's native Italy."

"Dirk Kuyt's agent, Rob Jansen, claims the Liverpool striker is considering a reunion with former Reds boss Rafael Benitez at Inter Milan. Jansen claimed there is "real interest" from the European champions and added: "There is also the possibility that a player from Inter could be included in the deal."

Great

Loïc Rémy has (as good as) signed for Marseille in the mean while as well ... (a welcome change for once actually )

Yep, MU has the biggest debt of them all (by a mile)! The higher interest rate to kick in soon as well thanks to your Glazers not paying off, meaning more cash out of MU and to the creditors. Happened to read it in the Sunday Times yesterday ;). But on the other hand the Premier League TV income is about 4 times higher than the next league, the spanish I believe it was, 400+ vs ~120 (of which the majority goes to Barca and RM)

....and perhaps Michael Owen.

But he was free. Veron cost 28 million pound (in 2001!) and Berbatov something similar. If you look at some cheaper ones you can name a list as long as the 2009/2010 thread

. Even Anderson cost 18 million and hasn't lived up to his promise (I was hoping Barca would sign him at the time and maybe he would have worked out better there but we will never know now).
But you can say the same for Benitez, Mourinho (to a lesser extent), Wenger so nothing personal against SAF (but someone had to bring up R. Keane ;)).
