Until Indonesia send their players to China Open, vice versa. Both countries are childish.

Indonesia DID send their players to the China Open 2004 (held in October). Likewise, China brought along a strong squad for the Indonesia Open 2004 (held in November). This time, the tournaments after the WC had poor turnouts. Only a handful of top players turned up for the recently concluded China Masters 2005. In fact, Peter Gade went there mostly because the organizers paid for his summer holiday in Beijing with his gf and children. Needless to say, he went out tamely in the first round to an unknown Chinese. Similarly, the Asian Championships lacks the presence of top players from Indonesia, Malaysia, and China. Indonesia and Malaysia send only their second-string players, mostly to gain experience and important WR points. China originally also had some second-string players competing, only to withdraw at the last minute. Only Hongkong, Korea, Thailand, and Japan turn out with their strongest teams

Meanwhile, the Chinese National Games are going to be held during the time Indonesia Open is played. However, at last count, 13 countries have agreed to come to the Open (compared to 16 last year). At least, Korea, Denmark, Malaysia, and Thailand should be in full force!

    hmmm...
well, Chinese national tournament will be held in OCT when indo open is finished this year
    indo predate? for what?

and Chinese team is on seedtime, paying more attention to the game which is held every four years
i think it is more important and the athletes will get more honor for representing for their own provinces

Is there too many tornuments going on at the same time ??! they all seem to be clashing with each other, i.e. no big stars going to the asian tornument, indo not going to china masters, china not going to indo open, etc, etc. what the hell is going on ?

You would think china would send at least someone to go to indo open.... even if it is their 2nd or 3rd choice team.

    thank you so much
    you are very kind
we all appreciate it very much:)

well, the answer should be no
there are many athletes who is in national team and meanwhile they will represent for their own provinces in this tournament...
you know they are chosen from every province team all the country and have higher skill than others in their province which depend on them very much
so it is time to devote theirselves to that, i think

Hi MeL'z! u can check the schedule on http://www.sctv.co.id/view/126,11001,1,0,1126099330.html its in Indo and still said that Chinese team will participate:D And I think they have to edit the advertisement too! They typed that China will participate:p ... For those who can't understand indo, SCTV will broadcast round 1 until QF (Wed-Fri) from 1 until 3 pm. SF and Final will be on Saturday and Sunday from 12.30 until 5.30 pm. So sad that I only can watch SF and Final, my school ends at 3.30 pm... Lucky Chinese team won't come, so i won't miss their action:D ...

yep, its just not right. IBF needs to fix this, somehow...i.e.stopping major tournaments from becoming easy "ranking-point gold fields" for home players...particularly China (and maybe Indonesia) Open.

Also, i think its a bad strategy for Indo team not go to to China open...in Beijing 2008, they will have no choice but to play in China...they should get more experience/exposure .
