Oh cool, that's a great picture. When was it? Oh so the WC skip is because of personal reasons? That's good, I thought his injury got worse
The most common causes of recurring heel pain are plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis. As the result of repetitive injury of the heel, the plantar fascia to thicken, resulting in heel pain. The surrounding tissue and the heel bone can also sometimes become inflamed. The BWF website also mentioning about plantar fasciitis of the right heel of Jorgensen. http://bwfworldchampionships.com/news-single/2017/08/01/injury-dashes-jorgensens-hopes/
Good find. Had not seen that before. I have had plantar fasciitis myself. Very unpleasant. Luckily, I managed to find a cure but I had some interesting experiences along the way with the medical care.
JOJ had withdrawn from Denmark SSP and French SS, then he cancel his registration in Bitburger GPG. He didn't register in China SSP and Hongkong SS. His official update: And I found this :
So if Jorgensen skip the CHN open, HKG open, and he cant qualify for SS finals when he has almost no SS Points for the whole season. His WR at the end of the year will be 150+ something with 10000-11000 ranking points. It will be uphill to comeback from that.
There are already 3 SS and 1 GPG in January. So I think if he can perform quite well in that time, he should have no problem getting back on track and participate in AE. That should be his goal atm, I guess
It will be interesting to see if Jorgensen when he comes back can beat Axelsen, Antonsen, Srikanth, Momota, Prannoy, Shi Yuqi and all the other younger players who have established themself more lately.
Before the foot injury, JOJ was in the form of his life, and was hella hard to stop, I think he would give the younger guys a hell of a fight, good chance of beating them, if he can get back to that sort of form with which he won the China Open in 2016.
