Alright. So I doing this test right now. So in the interest of trying to make this redneck science as impartial as possible. I will be doing 3 measurements.
A. 1 402DX straight from the pack. Dimensions are 740mm x 30mm = 22,200mm²
B.1 102EX cut to the same length of 740mm (well as close as I can get without a cutting mat) with the plastic layer peeled off. Dimensions are 740mm x 25mm = 18,500mm²
C. 1 102EX cut to cover the exact same area as a full pack of 402DX. Dimensions are 888mm x 25mm = 22,200mm²
To keep it as fair as possible I will cut off the tapered side of the 102EX to create squared ends just like the 402DX. Also all plastic adhesive backing on the 402DX will be removed just to simulate a real grip on a racket. Also the plastic protective film layer on the 102EX will be removed as well to do the same.
Results are in the pictures.
Wtf am I doing. I just wasted 10 bucks to prove a point I knew already..
