Looking at LCW's ranking pts, its incredible to see that the pts are made up: 1 SSF title 1 SSP title 1 SSP runner-up (offering even higher pts than winning a SS) 5 SS titles 2 GPG titles With 5 more SSP till next year's Olympics cut-off date, he can afford to finish runner-up in all of them and win even more pts than winning 5 SS titles.
Lin Dan completely mesmerized Peter Gade in the Sudirman Cup Final yesterday. Will PG be able to turn the tables in the forthcoming Singapore Open? Assumming they will meet again in the Final, sans LCW. Bye-bye Datuk.
The match with Peter Gade and Lee Hyun was just fantastic. Right to the wire! Watching Cai Yun/Fu Hai vs LYD and JJS and it's also a great match so far!
It used to be LD who usually showed up less times than LCW at tournaments . It used to be LD who usually showed up less times than LCW (at tournaments). Perhaps this year (2011), LCW wants to follow LD's way (preferring to have more training sessions than to have more matches played at tournaments). .
Maybe he should play, because he still have a lot to proove, LD already has proven pretty much everything Perhaps he is working on lowering his ranking to get on the same side in the draw as LD to avoid having to face him in the olympic final?? ;-)
Do you know how far (in points) is LCW ahead of LD? . Lowering his ranking? Do you know how far (in points) is LCW ahead of LD? I just updated this post in the thread: Will Lee Chong Wei remain World No.1 until the 2012 OG?; .
I thought LD has overtaken Taufik for the 2nd rank, no? Does the above ranking include the Sudirman Cup? I just hope that LD will be No.2 till OG2012

This Singapore Open has the most number of badminton stars on parade! I think this year's Singapore Open has the most number of stars on parade, except of course Malaysia's LCW and KKK/TBH. But Lin Dan will be here together with his top-ranked compatriots in all the other events. Most of the other top badminton countries are sending their best players! We will be in for a very exciting tournament as ranking points will count towards London Olympics 2012. No quarters will be given, not even with one's countrymen as high stakes are involved. So "Team Instruction" from LYB is unlikely. Those who bought tickets will be feted to almost a week of first-class badminton, with China pitting all their best players to win as many titles as possible. It will be very difficult for other countries to stop them except perhaps in MD. So come Tuesday, June 14 will be the start of Singapore's most extravagant badminton bonanza. WELCOME ONE AND ALL
A model of the badminton venue, Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, as seen from the permanent exhibit in the Ministry of National Development, Maxwell Road. Here the SIS is shown next to the soon-to-be-built Sports Hub, with the Stadium MRT close by.
Just across the road, probably about 300 metres. You can miss SIS which is on elevated ground. Welcome my friend!
