Lin Dan blasts court official after Quarter Final loss Six times All England Champion,Five Times World Champion,Two times Olympic Champion and reigning Asian Games Champion Lin Dan has lambasted court officials for not penalising JOJ's 'nonsense tricks'. “The service judge didn’t penalise Jorgensen on several occasions although he committed many service faults,” complained world No. 3 Lin Dan. “I watched him in the second-round match on Thursday too (Jorgensen beat Iskandar Zulkarnain of Malaysia 21-7, 21-16) and he pulled the same trick " “Maybe there are double standards against Asian players. They are also extra strict against Chinese players." replied furiously, The Ten times Thomas and Sudirman Cup Champion. http://www.thestar.com.my/sport/bad...er-failing-to-set-up-showdown-with-chong-wei/
Come on, a 21-17, 21-4 loss can hardly be blamed on service faults alone, no? I mean, if I played against JOJ, I may even get more than 4 points...
Lin Dan feeling victim of biased refereeing http://www.nst.com.my/news/2016/04/138107/lin-dan-knocked-out-malaysia-open
It's not about how many points he lost from biased serviced faults alone but the sense of being unfairly treated and targeted by the tournament officials generally, that's what he's complaining about. It is the tournament officials' bounden duty to uphold the highest professional standard and adhere to the the code of ethics to ensure a level playing field for all the players in maintaining impartiality, neutrality, and suchlike. This is not the first time Lin Dan has spoken out, at the AE he also weighed in on the WSX's red card incident. BWF simply cannot ignore such comments coming from badminton's most iconic figure.
If you felt hard done by, one such bad incident of biased judging is enough to affect your game and may change the course of the match. When those whom you trust to uphold justice are the perpetrators of violating the rules, that's the end.
just watched his match against JOJ I always love to see him being so...him! The 2nd set was like,F### you twXts I don't want to continue this ridiculous thing anymore
the line judge was actually helping Lin Dan, preventing him from peaking too early before OG, as this may happen if he enter the semi and even final of this tournament.
Oh come on, Mr double action server complains about other players serves... Also imagine LCW did this; everybody would go and say "what a sore loser" but if LD complains it's okay?
I knew you were going to bring that up. But that's not what equality and fairness is about, with players having won more (major) titles getting more/extra rights...
