Good to have foreign talent to give the local boys a run for the money and incentives. Apa cakap kawan? If LD is here, he'll be a King and get a Tan Sri ala Datuk man.;) If Singapore can do it, Malaysia juga boleh. Anwar suda bole...;)
China to give US$51,000 to each champion

BEIJING: China’s Olympic gold medallists will each get cash rewards of 350,000 yuan (US$51,000), nearly twice the amount given for the Athens 2004 Games, state media reported yesterday.
The figure was given by Xiao Shan, deputy head of the country’s Sports Ministry, the Beijing News reported.
Chinese gold-medal winners at the 2004 Games were given 200,000 yuan each, Xiao Shan said.
China displaced the United States as the world’s premier sporting nation by winning 51 gold medals, their best Olympic showing ever, at the just-completed Beijing Games. – AFP

    honey money

Wonder which country offer the most for gold. Next time those chinese juniors can aim for these countries to have a better life.

What does countries like Korea, Indonesia, Denmark, England, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Taiwan, HongKong, Thailand and other pay out? Interesting to compare. It's becomming more like a commodity to buy players.

So far, Singapore offers the most attractive sum. (forget about endorsements, I believe LCW will get his share as well).

Since we acknowledged sport as bussiness, why are we questioned the rewards given to the athletes?

The motto for this year National Celebration = Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan (Unity is the key for success)...
Too many *ugly* incidents and stupid comments from some of the *elite* person does give a deep impact to this motto... IMHO...
    - from VC of UiTM
    - from the *able !?* Son-in-law
    - banning of online media
    - DNA regulation
    - etc...

Yeah my guess is that too. If he insisted and yet doesn't work, his credibility will be at stake.

Let's tikam. boleh or tak boleh? So far no solid new. I tikam tak boleh. May take a longer time to make it happen given the intricacies of the law.
