I had a feeling saina avoided playing rutvika in first round.

This year's PBL is more lively and is fun to watch. Great to see players enjoying as a team. For a change, nice to see a smile on chinese player's faces! Never remember watching them smile on court.

Suo Di is a former junior Asian champ, just like Sindhu.
So she is a huge talent.
Any team other than China, and she would regularly be a part of it.
Who knows, may be in tokyo olympics they will pick Sun Yu and Suo Di.

That girl Liu Die who is 17 year old played doubles with Ivanov yesterday.
She was quite good from what I saw, but Ivanov did not have faith in her and chased everything on his own.

Don't know much about Chinese League.
It would have been better if Rituparna or some other youngster got the chance in place of Thulasi.
I am happy that Ruthvika and Siril got picked and have a reasonable chance of playing, but Thulasi gets way too many chances. She has yet to prove that she deserves a place ahead of all the other young Indian girls.

Sorry that it wasn't working for you. I tried it when someone in this thread mentioned and it worked for me. I selected UK proxy, by default it would be HK.

Too bad, I'm unable to enjoy the matches live nor watch any of the replays on the website.

Cai Yun is proving his worth, whether his partner is Hendrawan or Bodin Issara, he is winning; Awardhe Warriors should have no regrets paying the old warrior USD60K, so far so good.

Fox Sports is supposed to be broadcasting this league live in HK, according to a news report.

Cai Yun is a valuable player and is showing passion, commitment and fighting spirit. He is a great example of a solid player. Great team player as well! He and Bodin Issara have won their doubles match 15-12, 15-6 :)

Suo Di was well prepared by Han Li for this match. She gave Saina Nehwal a scare. She made Saina move out of her comfort zone. Suo Di had some nice touches and smashes. Saina had to work hard for her win. Saina is still not fully recovered from her injury, she is trying to play within herself. Suo Di forced her to raise her game. I hope Suo Di gets to play again for China in the future. :)

Srikanth lost his concentration after the net call. He had a bad day in the office. He needs to learn to focus and not get rattled by a tough call. He will learn from this defeat. Arvind Bhat is doing a good job as coach. He is giving Srikanth some new ideas in the league. ;)

Lee Chong Wei Writes in Times of India Print edition

"I am thrilled to be a part of the Hyderabad Hunters but unfortunately I could not give them what they asked for, losing my opening match of the tournament. But I have no excuses as Kidambi Srikanth was brilliant on Sunday in Mumbai. He has grown immensely in stature in the last couple of years and is definitely one of the most exciting players to watch out for at present in world badminton. He commands a lot of respect in the international badminton circuit and there is no shame in losing to a player of his calibre. I am sure he will go on to achieve much more in the sport. I lost the match but more importantly the Hunters won the tie."

He is generous in his praise of Srikanth K. ;)

Sad that rest of the world cannot watch PBL. This looks to be a yearly activity and will only grow in it's stature. Shouldn't be long that the regular top players will be part of PBL. Duora 10 is selling like a hot cakes in India probably due to its ad promotion during the matches.

Trump match is a great twist. Yesterday they nominated Srikanth instead of Saina (probably because she was facing the in form chinese) for the trump match and he lost it against the Thai!

Frankly, I can't understand how PBL has any scope of being more successful than other leagues running in other countries. What is it that they don't have?

Of course, I am sure that there will be more players that the league will attract because this is actually a very bad time for the league due to the coming Olympics, but even then I can't see a reason why it would be more popular than CBSL, or english or purple leagues. It can only be an equal to them.

Which Srikanth should beware. A guest at your house often will try to praise your people and stuff, doesn't mean that all is great.
