i think the paint with fiber pattern idea is good. however, the photo might not show it, it is not the fiber you are actually seeing, but just a painted pattern. for lookwise, to be able to see the real woven pattern is still the best. i will string it up this week and try it out next week. expect a review in a week or two. the logo is quite nice, i agree.
Actually a blank unpainted frame shows no fiber pattern or any pattern at all. It looks exactly like a solid piece of charcoal without the cracks or lines, with a very fine line across the whole profile of the frame and shaft that separates the top part of the mold with the bottom part.
Yes if it's made entirely from SMC or Uni-directional it will look kinda like charcoal as you say, but if it has a twill outer layer, then it will have a 'fiber' look, like the SOTX wovens. Unidirectional does have some texture though, but as you say, it's not really a 'fiber' look even though it is fibers.
The surface texture is just a mirror-image of the mold surfaces. Different molds will have different surface 'texture'. The charcoal colour simply means the raw material oil has been cooked of all impurities and what is left is close to pure carbon; a higher purity grade will be called carbon graphite.
yes. bare carbon fiber will just be like charcoal. you can buy rackets that are bare in China for a small price. however, if the top layer is not simple molded fiber but woven carbon fabric, it will look like a cloth. that when painted with transparent paint looks extremely nice.
I am pretty sure that the fiber pattern you talked about is image made by some kind laser tec. just another kind of graphics coating. Regarding the woven + transparent painting design, hard to say....I had several Lx856s in hand ,but failed to taking beautiful pictures Maybe we should ask Master Panda share some pictures , if he still have any in hand.
You like charcoal because no innovation on rackets graphics ? Why not share your design with me? I can turn it into reality when I get change , if your design are really good
The Advantac 998 looks like a combination of the paint job from the AT line, along with some inspiration from the Arc 10 and the solid red of the MP 100.
Their spelling need to be improved. Grarhite, grorhite, etc. They can't even keep the wrong spelling consistent.
My feeling on the Advantec 998. I was convinced to purchase the Advantac 998 in Rose during the Christmas holiday. The racket was put on a BG65Ti string at 27 lbs, its max tension is 29 lbs. I am comparing it with my older racket AT700, new colour, with the same string, BG65Ti at 27 lbs. The shaft is softer than AT700. It is easier to hit a backhand clear than AT700. Head weight is lighter than AT700. My smashing power and speed are getting lower. It has better feeling on net shot. I feel more comfortable and confident to do net drop with it than AT700. Since it has softer shaft than AT700, I will try higher tension next time to improve the smashing power. I like this racket because its cost is about 2/3 of my AT700 and it is very fun and easy to play with.
just got 2 jpsee 'power energy speed 900' for me and my friend. im sponsored in england so didnt really wana spend too much on an expensive racket that i couldnt use in UK. so went to rose and asked her for a racket for around 500, that was good value, and stiff and and even balanced. this was the one i preferred that she handed us. ## not used yet, but will be playing tomorrow and thursday so can post reviews after! initial impressions are it certainly looks the part, defo feels very stiff just to swing. strung by rose at 26 with ng95, will see how it goes
kwun, Is JPSEE a lot like Oliver rackets (higher or lower grade, make wise?)? I have a SOTX Woven 16 but from the pictures I can't really say, so, is the Power Tec 99000 much like Woven 16? Tks.
