I have checked in the information of the Yonex Armortec 800-DE serial : 5246449 231144UK (date=23 Nov 2004) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.
However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Following the trend, the serial no. of your TI10 5694307 should has the date code around 11 Aug 2005. However the date code of 260753SP is about 16 days behind and so far most of the fakes are models of the latest AT800-DE/OF, Nanospeed 7000, 8000. It is uncommon to see a fake TI-10. Frankly speeaking, I am not sure about your case. You may want an authorised Yonex sport dealer to examine your TI-10.

I am very doubtful on the legitimacy of the serial no. and the date code of 5693530 080753SP of wahtever Yonex racket model no.
It is similar to Post #1300 and my reply on Post #1301.
Anyway the date code of 290452SP (date 29 Apr 2005) is almost 4 months behind for the serial no. of 5694001.
As the model is one of the latest NS8000, it is very likely to be a fake.

hmm, what kinda things might i notice if it is fake?, is it possible its NOT fake?, i know its totally possible i messed up, but i think the racquet is incredible a,d improved all aspects of my game. So i am kinda stunned to hear it might be a fake O_O.

What markings or things can i look for to confirm my racquet to be fake or not.

can anyone help me out with that?

    thankx! ^^

    AT800 DEF Authenticity Check

    Hi fellow badminton fanatics!!

I finally got what is my dream racket, a Yonex Armortec 800 Defensive from BTS-Sportshop Wochnik in Germany.
Although I bought it from a store, can anyone verify its authenticity just to be sure? It did cost a lot of dough!
The Yonex logo on the handle cap looks identical to the original one posted on the Yonex International site.

    Serials:
    Shaft: 5174303
    Handle Cap: 210943GR

BTW how does this serial number check work? Does somebody have all the legit serials :D?
What if some pirates reproduce our legit numbers...?

    Thanks dudes...

I have checked in the information of the Yonex Armortec 800-DE Serials: Shaft: 5174303 Handle Cap: 210943GR (date=21 Sep 2004) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.
However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
About your other query, I have explained in post #1046 of this thread.

it is a fake. the serial number is too small for the date code.

Should be alright, I think leehsim should have another on his records with an almost identical serial number. By the way, are these still available to buy new? Can you tell me where you got yours from?

    Ebay Seller

    Hi Leehsim,

Is there any way you could check for me if this seller is selling fake rackets or not?
    http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=sportzzone&iid=

If not, I have ordered two rackets from him that should be in today. They are: Nanospeed 8000 SP and Musclepower 100 SP. He says the rackets are made in Taiwan, but doesn't "SP" designate rackets made in Singapore?

    Thanks alot man,

yonx high end racquets cannot possibly be made in taiwan, unless they are fake. all yonex high end racquets are made in japan, whether they are SP or non-SP

I need serial no. on the shaft and date code on the cone to check whether they are legitimate.
For checking the seller status, you should post to the thread " eBay auction watch" link:
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13655
As far as I know there is YOnex racket manufacturing factory in Singapore.
High end Yonex rackets are made in Japan. Others are made either in Taiwan and Taiwan.
Nanospeed 8000 and Musclepower 100 are definitely made in Japan
Following link is for your understanding of serial numbering of Yonex rackets:
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/badminton-central/content/view/78/33/

"SP" painted on the shaft is to indicate that the racket is distributed by Sunrise Co. Private Limited (Singapore), hence the SP.
