    Almost impossible!!
HE , YU are acting very well those days!!
They may rank NO.4 and XIE/ZHANG will be the unlucky one!!
(XIE/ZHANG will not participate in INDIA Open while HE/YU is the top seed)

If this is true (and I am not doubting you) then there is no wonder LCW cannot perform at his peak in finals. He will be fearing losing, rather than being confident of winning. BAM/NSC must surely review this?

Yup....it's virtually a slim chance for Xie/Zhang to be involved in the Olympics nowadays.

    Very good point indeed.

So maybe MAS players' minds are not weak but BAM made them so.

Sorry James, no livestream. Only Astro.
You have implore on Robin, Samuel, Carine, those with Astro to describe the match. Looks like they've gone to watch or tea break during WD.

For me, this pair will never be a top top pair. XZB is too big and stiff to cope with faster play and when they are defending and despite his size his Smash is not very big. ZY is not much of a problem really, although sometimes makes mistakes at critical points.

He/Yu are much faster and powerful, with this added manueverability they can overcome difficult situations that can lead to match changing results.

Indeed, with this title in the Swiss Open, He/Yu will be ranked no 3.
He Hanbin/Yu Yang -- 68850 (need to defend 7000 Asian Championships title though)
    Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa -- 68180
Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen -- 66760 (no India Open, only Badminton Asia Championships left...and HAVE TO WIN IT to be guaranteed a spot!)

Well shouldn't he have to account if he loses tamely ? I would want to know too if I can get him to report to me.

Sponsors will not stay if players are not made accountable for weak performances.

i agree with your points about XZB, he is a big guy (perhaps too big) and his manueverability is compromised as a result. and his smash technique is strange.. he is very full frontal when he smashes, and the end product is not all that awesome. perhaps a change of technique (to something similar to FHF?) is the answer but not sure. HHB and YY have more potential. Still XZB and ZYW very consistent.

An interesting thing is that Flandy/Vita played far from well this year. As if they would like to see 3 Chinese pairs in OG. :D

Players are accountable for losing, but it will not improve their future performances if they are given a grilling by administrators and sponsors as to why they lost.

This is what the coach should do, and then the coach should absorb this criticism then alter it into a positive outcome for the player himself. You must remember that the players are not politicians, businessmen and hard nose individuals who can shrug off this pressure. They are basically kids who have athletic capability and who must be guided into realising this capability into results.

If they receive this grilling which they are not trained to take (they are trained to play) then they will have severe mental problems both in their training and then in their gameplay.

Xie/Zhang is actually pretty strong when they played well...

I guess they have too much pressure. And don't forget HHB does not need to worry about MD.

"Msian hordes" cannot comment, will be considered too bias, he he.

Errrr, that's the review loh, review why fail in AE. For sure NSC & BAM want to meet up with the players & coaches when they come back to hear '"from the horses mouth what are the problems" and 'worried with players' performance'. This came out in the malay press Berita Harian, 10 & 12 March 2008. Later also in Malay Mail, after AE losses.
Basically, it's the heightened anxiety as to the OG medal chase. Normal-lah, this kind of thing.
