BCL won't play LCW at TC - Unless a doubles player plays MS3 & CL MS2 I would agree on the chances, but chances of winning are pretty much irrelevant on the day, it depends who plays well or not.
If both plays at average form, I would have to agree with chris, probably with a higher chance at 34:66 for BCL against LCW
with LD & BCL at MS2 & MS3 the chance for the 2 points is close to 100%. with CJ at MS1, i say less than 50% chance to win against LCW and better than 60-70% against the rest. again, if FYH/CY play at MD2 the chance to win will be close to 100%. i think the main threat for CHN to win the TC for the 4th time in a row will be KOR again as last year. If CHN play FYF/CY at MD1, on a really good day KOR can pick up 2 points from the doubles and that will be really interesting.
i'll say LCW still has the edge based on current form but CJ should have a better chance than any other MS1. its now down to the preparation for the next few weeks and how they perform on the big stage.
yes, the above is a fair prediction based on their last few encounters but if this coming thomas cup, bcl do pop up to play lcw in the ms1, i will laugh my heads off! no offend cheap joke!
don't forget this is a team event and its very much different from individual, all chances i would say is 50-50 for malaysia, korea, indonesia, denmark and china if we are talking about the chances of these countries. did i missed any country out? i don't think so! anything could happen and it has happened before - total chaos or surprises like upsets. in singles if we talk individually about lcw against ld, cj or bcl then the chances would roughly based on their last one or two encounters. as for ld and bcl playing ms2 and ms3, on paper they are like rocks but then again this is a team event and anything could happen... as for doubles, yes, the korean can spring surprises based on their last outing and so are the danes. china under lyb putting fyf/cyc as md2 is a good strategy, they need badly at least a point from doubles because he knows china 3 singles aren't that solid anymore..
Why is there still talk of LD playing MS2? If LD avoids disaster in the upcoming ABC, he will be back to MS1.

..the Jia You fans will only come out & make noise when LD lost.. it's different for the Boleh fans. They will come out & make noise whenever LCW lost or won or doesn't even participate in any tourney.. *i can sense cooler must be nodding his head in agreement..
