FYI, PSH has good record against LD and that's why people are confident predicting.

i did said that LD do have one of his off day now and then, but unlikely to have 2 in a row during a major tournament otherwise he couldn't be the world no 1 for so long. because of this i think he is definitely has the upper hand against PSH.
with 1-0 after the MS1 korea will have a mountain to climb. 3-0 to china is a very likely result.

    I support korean team too
it's kinda boring to see china team at the top.
i'm pretty sure that you also support your coutry team strategy if they do the same thing (what korean team did).

    GO GO GO KOREA
    MAKE A NEW HISTORY

korea hasn't done anything against the rules but just not good for badminton. blame the stupid rules, the only purpose for the 1st round is allow them to pick the next opponent. have to say that korea did it in a rather elegant way by swapping the MS & MD around.
to choose between a better chance to be in the final for the TC (that proven to be correct) or bad named badminton temporary (rules has to be changed for the next TC), it isn't really that difficult.
i'm sure both MAL and ENG had analysed and decided against it (i.e. to be at the bottom of the group), but what if 1 or both wanted the same? what fun to see everyone tried to lose!

    Hmm..

..yes they can and it's totally independent of what the other team is playing. But if they do so, they have to go by the players' ranking in determining the rest of the lineup. So, if CHN fielded BCL as MS1, then MS2 will be CJ and then MS3 will be CY; all based on BWF's ranking.;)
..if not mistaken LD has a better head to head record than LCW. Yet, we all saw what happened in their Semifinal match.;)
..i concur (the ones highlighted in bold).

Anyway, we're just counting down 4 more hours. The most important thing is:
Which team does our kwun feel is going to win???....hmmmmmmmm....(i haven't seen his prediction yet:p). But maybe a couple of "Jia Yous" will reveal who he's supporting???.... ;)

*On that note, my eyes are getting a bit heavy..*sigh*...:p

the advantage for korea is that they've achieved their TC goal, to be in the final while china has the pressure of 'expected' to win.

i do as i have given my odds of china vs korea earlier but of course those odds were based on skills while the mental state component is harder to assess quantatitively. Korea can play with nothing to lose attitude.

    You guys..

...last night i was planning to get up at 4 am (with alarm set), but failed. When i got up, afer noticing the UC Final thread was so quiet, i realized everyone else probably dozed off and missed the UC Final...:p

I'm wondering, if there's a special feature which BC can install which will act as an alarm in this kind of special circumstances...hmm..have one of those "BC Tournament Wake-Me-Up Alarm".. :p
..i think i shall refrain from doing that. If i do that, 110% i will surely fall asleep....
