Looking at the silhouette it looks like it has the exact same head size as the HX800

Is there any advantage to having a thin shaft like this? Can't imagine any much aerodynamics advantage...

Only thing I can think off is whipping effect for some serious power. But I do worry about torque stability even if there's pyrofil and had a box frame. That's a pretty thin shaft.

Err... thats way too thin... agreed.

Unless there's new material used to strengthen the torque stability, this new racket will b out of my range.

Honestly although I worry that it is a bit too thin I wouldn't go as far as way too thin. After all babolat has been doing 6.5mm for a while now and I haven't seen any horror stories of shafts breaking and rackets impaling adjacent people. Plus they've already attempted 6.6mm with no fancy technology in the shaft using M46J carbon so 6.4mm truly isn't a stretch to imagine as they have a material that must work otherwise they wouldn't release it.

How thin is the Z-Force II? Can't be much more than 6.5...

The RRI for the K9900 is 8, so I'm expecting it to be less stiff (or, at least, play less stiff) than the 9000. If this thing comes in under $175... it will be very difficult not to pull the trigger.

When you held it at the AE was it a 3/5 in your opinion? The ZF II should be around 6.6ishmm iirc

I wouldn't be too concerned, as new and stiffer materials emerge it's inevitable that we can down size. Remember how wooden frames used to look like?

The thinnest shaft I have seen must be the Yonex BE110, sub-6mm if I remember correctly!

5/3 or 5/4 in the hand, IMO, but lord knows how the thing will play with RRI 8.

RRI 8. Personally hoping for a 5/4 hahaha. If it's 5/3 we might have a potentially serious head lag problem even with the smaller head.

Indeed - whippiness is exactly what I don't want.

Aesthetics. horrible colour combination. it's all wrong. I know its a matter of opinion but whoever says it's a good looking racket. all I will say is hmmmmm.

the tk9000 and tk6000 both look better.

hopefully there will be a tk6900

RRI for TK-9ooo is 9, I assume... then my guess the 99oo will play similar n due to its smaller head, faster as well.

Based on the colour scheme alone, its very hard not to pull the trigger...

Yeah... hope its not too whippy. If its 5/3 plus the thin shaft, it'll just b a collection item for me...

I bet when they officially release this thing, it won't just be all blue. It looks terrible. T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E.

To each his own;). I hated the TK6000 looks-wise, but it went over well with most everybody else.

Indeed. I thought the TK6000 was an ugly corn stick whereas I really like this blue and orange they're going with for the 9900.

black yellow and white on the tk6000 should work yet it doesn't quite. it is helped massively with a yellow grip and yellow strings. but it can't compare with tk9000 which looks perfect out of factory. it just looks right.

I just just dont like the colour combo on this and can't see it growing on me

'With *almost* everybody else'. The American form doesn't even parse grammatically.

I have the mx60 so the yellow tk6000 doesn't bother me as such. I don't think it looks great, but it's passable.

It wasn't even the fact that it was yellow and black - I liked the MP99 and the MX60, for example. It was the fact that it was a watery, pastell-y yellow.

TK9900 works perfectly for me - I love that BLUE-blue.
