Its just like the the famous football players from Brazil who have comes to ply their trade in JPN .. But neither of them do help JPN to win the World Cup...
I have to agree that Chandra's presence in the Japanese League does not makes any huge impact for Badminton in Japan..
The Japanese is already on the move of emerge as one of the badminton challengers in the world even before Chandra's arrival.
However, their MD & WD seems benefit alots from their new coach PJB..

Olympic spirit/motto "Participation is the only thing that matters"

    Greetings,

    Definitely... :):):)

We should follow, for example, the Olympic spirit/motto...

"Participation is the only thing that matters, not the winning or losing"

    Cheers... chris@ccc

Not only the winner is a hero but every single player who has made it there

    Hi OneToughBirdie,

But the actual truth or fact is that there are many players who wish to participate in this WC but could not qualify.

So they should thankful that they got a chance to participate. After all, the WC is a top competition and everyone who is even sent there has already gone through a thorough qualification procedure. So not only the winner is a hero but every single player who has made it there.

In each event, there are only three who can win the gold, silver or bronze medal.

To me, they are already heroes. :):):)

    Cheers... chris@ccc

Its a moment of life for them.. For some. it may b once in a lifetime chances. For others, they play the abdminton for their whole life can't even qualify for this WC..Thus, I really support BWF decision for Quota Entries in every WC !
