Agreed, the 9624-9 is better for shoes. The 9829 shoe compartment accommodates my panda shoes just fine length-wise but width-wise it's marginal; depth-wise it's not sufficient if I put a few tubes of shuttles and fill it up with rackets.
*sigh* Panda's search for the perfect racket bag goes on. I think I'm gonna stick with the 2007 rectangular pro bag....

they r all rectangular though and bigger than yonex's ones in their specs
however i haven't seen them personally
gut luck
Am I the only one who is not really impressed by this at all,I think the old one was much better as having 2 rather than 3 compartments would really annoy me, and also it would be easy to lose things in the 1 big side compartment. I think the old setup with the 3 small compartments is a lot more practical. To me these two changes are just cutting corners to save money. Also the old shoe compartment was much better placed. I don't think I will be buying this bag
Does putting our racket in this bag will enhance our badminton skills by 10% or more?
DinkALot, in your opinion would this bag be suitable for tennis players?
I just received my new 9829 (802-9 in Japan) racket bag thanks to the silent one, Silent Heart.
...
That is a nice bag. The JP ones are more durable and better quality.

Initial impressions: the fit and finish, quality of materials and comfort are all first-rate. Yonex continues to impress and make the best, most functional racket bags.
Differences between the 9829 and 9624-9 (previous model):
+One big side pocket as opposed to three smaller side pockets.
+Two compartments as opposed to three.
+Shoe compartment zipper is located on the bottom.
P.S. The black zipper pulls and red paracord are not OEM. I always add those to my racket bags. Originally comes with standard metal zippers.

hey dinkalot
is there only 2 big compartments for the 9829 (802-9 in Japan) or is there 3 because i don't see the 3rd compartment like the other 9 racquets bags have.
CRAP!!! Only 2 compartments and I ordered mine already..
(MSN04, learn to read next time)
I don't like the shoe compartment on this one. I like the previous one better.
Hey Dink quick question, you know on the rear of the bag where the shouler straps are attached to the bag? how is that looking cause i know on the old 2424-9 the previous version of this one the one above the shoe compartment in the back was securly in there. however the one on the other side wasnt so sturdy and i was just wondering how there looking on this one. wanted to know if there in there and are sturdy or not so much and are like the percious model and have a chance of comming off like what happened to mine.
Not sure what you mean...a picture is worth a thousand words.![]()
sure thats no problem, this part right here where the 2 shoulder straps connect.
